Good day ladies and gentlemen, members of the press, and children of all ages who are present. I want to thank you for joining me on a beautiful June afternoon here at my alma mater. Today, I have an announcement to make; it will put to rest the endless speculation about me that’s gone on in the press in recent weeks. I think we can all be happy about that, I know my wife will be.

Today my friends……. it brings me great pride to announce to you that I am declaring my candidacy for governor of Washington State in the upcoming 2048 gubernatorial election. I am not running as a republican or a democrat however. This campaign, unlike those of the 2 main political parties, will be one that is honest….., self-financed….., and free from the influence of lobbyists and special interest groups.

Going to college in this state, and later running a successful news media company out of the great city of Seattle, I have seen far too much damage done to the economic and personal livelihoods of this state’s residents by the Democratic and Republican parties. Today, I stand before you to declare that those days are near their end!

If I am elected governor, I promise to put an end to the current flawed way of doing things. Once I am in office, we will challenge the status quo of legislators only working to preserve their wealth and wellbeing, and not looking after the people that they represent.

As we begin the long and tough road to the statehouse in Olympia, I ask you to consider the following things in the run up to this crucial election:

Mainly ladies and gentlemen, I ask you this, do you want someone competent running this great state?
Because with the current Democratic and G.O.P. candidates in the field, you will not get that, not at all. Governor Enyeart is a joke, look at all the horrible things that have happened under his administration, terrorist attacks from radical Islamic Canadians who stream across our porous northern border, 25 percent unemployment, and half of the city of Spokane is ruled by meth heads, does this man truly think people are dumb enough to let him continue this damage into a second term?

His opponent is no prize either my friends,
The democratic candidate for office is even more pathetic, in his time as a state senator, Gabriel Ramirez hasn’t introduced a single piece of legislation, missed 75 percent of the votes cast in the statehouse in 2047, and was indicted on tax evasion for god’s sake! Why do we let ourselves get tricked into voting for these terrible candidates year after year?

Things aren’t all doom and gloom though everyone, if I am elected in November; I pledge to do the following.

First, I will sign an executive order while office that moves the National Guard to our states northern border, and will authorize them to shoot on sight anyone they see carrying weapons. Never again will we let ourselves become open to attack from our enemies to the north.
Secondly, I will pay off this states debt, our 23 billion dollar deficit is unsustainable, I will not raise your taxes to pay off the disaster created by previous administrations, the only one who should suffer to resolve this problem is whoever is running the state. Hopefully, that will be me. Heeheheheheheh.

We have taken the first strides to a brighter future today my friends, the campaign ahead will not be easy, and nor will it be an honest one, the two main parties will try to trick you and deceive you into voting for them instead of me. Don’t allow yourself to fall into that trap. Your better than that!

They’ll try to tell you that I am crazy, that our campaign has no chance of winning, and that we can’t change the world. To that, I respond with a quote from an old Apple commercial, “those who think they are crazy enough to change the world, are the ones that do”. Think differently during this election season ladies and gentlemen,….. may god bless you, and may god bless the United States of America.

For getting along well with Christie, working to try to turn around Newark(which is the closest thing America has to an actual puddle of piss on the map), and seeming like a mentally competent politician, I think he will go further in politics in the future. Your thoughts? Also, please use this area to publicize other competent politicians who you think will have a good impact on the nation.

Throughout its history, Canada has been faced with many major events that have decided the path that the nation has taken in history. However, debate has arisen over what the most significant historical event is that has made Canada the country that it is today. Some say that event was the Seven Years War fought between the British and French in North America, but others believe that the American Revolution was the event which had the most impact on Canada’s history.

Mainly, it can be said that the Seven Years War is the most important event in Canadian history and without it Canada’s society would be very different today. Overall, the main reason this event holds relevance to our nation is because of who was victorious in the conflict. The British, by winning and taking over what was then called New France, began our country’s long term connection to Britain and set in motion many of the problems that our society deals with today in regards to language. If they hadn’t won, it is likely that New France would have remained under French control well into the 20th century, (as they often fought hard to hold onto their colonial possessions¹) and our society wouldn’t have had so many problems with the presence of two languages and the debate about how we place them in society. As the area that is now Quebec wouldn’t have been a part of Canada. Also, this event is significant due to how the British treated the Canadien residents after taking over. By not implementing the policy in the Royal Proclamation, and letting the people of that region keep many of their same customs, while having the other colonies be distinctly British in their legal and social practices, the British crown established how we treat Quebec today. Just as the British recognized them as a distinct and different region back then, so too does the government of Canada in our present time.
Secondly, some say that the American Revolution had the most impact on the history of Canada as a nation. In general, it can be said that the most important way the American Revolution affected our country is that we still exist as a country today due to Quebec and the Atlantic colonies deciding to not take part even though they were invited to the continental congress. If they had joined in the revolution, it is likely that they would have been later annexed into America as territories and later made states in the future, as America had a highly expansionist mindset at this time. Also, another way the American Revolution affected Canada is that it curtailed the potential size of our nation and created a significant English population in Canada once the conflict had ended. After the war ended, the Ohio valley, which was annexed to Canada in the Quebec act, was reopened to the American colonies for settlement. In addition, another post war effect that was felt in Canada was the migration into our area of some 46000 loyalists² who refused to fight with the American revolutionaries; this influx of people created a major English speaking population in Canada for the first time and improved the overall population of the maritime area. Furthermore, the American Revolution also led to Britain clamping down on independent control in the remaining colonies they had, by passing the constitutional act, Britain put down any chance of any further revolt in their remaining colonies.

However, upon looking at these two arguments, one can see a flaw with each side of the debate. The flaw in the Seven Years War argument comes from the line that states that if the British hadn’t been victorious in the conflict, Quebec would’ve remained under French control well into the twentieth century. Upon examining this further, one can see that this likely would not have happened, with the expansionist trends of the U.S. and Canadian governments, and Frances later troubles during World War 2, it is likely the colony would’ve likely joined either Canada, America, or became an independent nation at some point. Secondly, when one looks at the American Revolution argument, the main flaw in that case comes from the line which states that as a result of the American Revolution, our size as a nation was drastically diminished. This falls flat when one looks at the facts of the matter, sure Canada did lose the Ohio valley, but the boundary between Canada and the U.S., which was the 49th parallel, hadn’t been extended out west to the Pacific Ocean yet, this left a huge area of land available for Canada to potentially take.

In conclusion, upon looking at whether the American Revolution or the Seven Years War had the most impact on Canada as a nation. One can see that neither event was the most important at all. Overall, the event that had the most impact on Canada was the signing of the Rebellion Losses Bill in 1849. This was the most important event in Canada’s history due to the fact that it established the way our government operates today. As a responsible, stable government where the governor general does not get involved in the legislative process and signs bills into law whether he likes them personally or not.

-From now on, I will post these in conjunction with a Youtube video of some sort. Once Ive posted the essay online, I will delete it from my personal archives.

My friend argues that any form of it is insulting, but I am not sure. What say you? I agree that things like the work known as "Piss Christ" are horrible and should not be seen. But what about positive humorous pieces, an example being an episode of the television series South Park which is titled "Super Best Friends". In this piece, Jesus, Buddah, Mohammed, Joseph Smith, and Moses make up a super hero team similar to the 1960's cartoon "The Super Friends". Is that offensive in the traditional sense? Or is it something that one can dismiss as silly?

Hulet discussed evidence of Saudi intelligence being involved with 9/11 as well as his concerns surrounding the War on Terror. He pointed to a recent lawsuit brought by insurance company Lloyd's of London against the Saudi government, which alleges that the country was complicit in the September 11th attacks. "We've got evidence being collected that absolutely proves Saudi Arabia was behind 9/11," Hulet declared. ...(More > )...> While he acknowledged that this does not absolve the terrorists who committed the attack, he stressed that "none of this could have happened, for the last 20 years, without hundreds of millions of dollars from the Saudi royal family." Additionally, Hulet cited a West Point document which says that over half the foreign fighters killing Americans in Afghanistan and Iraq are Saudis.
Hulet also addressed a number of suspicious elements surrounding the War on Terror. Regarding the invasion of Iraq, Hulet said that the early use of ground troops in the country revealed that the government knew that Saddam Hussein did not actually have weapons of mass destruction. "If he'd had chemical or biological weapons," Hulet surmised, "we would have had to bomb them into the stone age or we'd never put troops on the ground." He also noted a resurgence in CIA-sponsored drug trafficking and said that numerous government contracted private planes, shown to be carrying huge amounts of narcotics, have crashed in recent years. Making matter even more nefarious, Hulet said that "in between these flights, they were also taking detainees from Guantanamo Bay to places like Libya to be tortured." - Hulet
