How many of you support permanently switching to a dollar coin and ditching the green back? I read that a study came out in 2000 that switching to a coin would save 30 billion over 10 years, but this is opposed by senators like trent lott and the late ted kennedy, who were supported by the cotton and paper industries. What do you think? Is this still something that should be pursued, or is it dead due to the influence of lobbyists?

I need some advice from everyone. Whats a good u.s. orginization that does work overseas? I just found out that my college has a backpack journalism program where whoever writes the best essay about a particular group will be paid to go overseas and report during their time with them. I'm just not sure what to write about for my application as the groups I'd be interested in joining probably wouldnt get approved, as it'd be a risk to my personal safety. -So, does anyone have any ideas? ...
