Auri, this had something to do with this administration wanting to implement new rules which would decide who could and who could not have the loans. As I sadi though, I only heard of it briefly.

Would it surprise you if B. Hussein wanted to tighten government control over who could and who could not get a loan?

Whoa!! What did I start. TL, you're so right, jbeukema, you're so wrong. Any vote for any other party, Green, Libertarian, Socialist, American First, Moderate Party, Party for Socialism and Liberation, Prohibition Party, Reform Party, Socialist Equality Party, Socialist Workers Party, Unity Party, Workers World Party or Working Families Party was a vote for Obama. If any of the other candidates stood a snowball's chance in hell of winning I would have voted for him or her instead of McCain, but they didn't so I didn't.

Bob Barr: 0.40%
Chuck Baldwin: 0.15%
Cynthia McKinney: 0.12%
All Others: 0.18%
Total Other Votes: 0.85%

Anyone who doesn't vote Republican is a traitor to the Party. 3rd parties will never win because we can't let them, or the GOP will be over. The GOP has been around since America was founded and remains the only real party for America. To expect people to give 'principles' priority over the party is blaspheme and moonbattery- all that maters is keeping the GOP in power

You have to be a troll or a fanatic.

Or both.

GAP, I'd have to say that I disagree with the statement of "All that matters is keeping the GOP in power."

You have to be a troll or a fanatic.

Look, America is, always has been, and always will be a 2-party system

You have two options, and only two options

that's reality

Well, yea- I mean it's a 2-party system and only the GOp and the Dems matter. There have never been any other parties that mattered, nor will there be. Just ask around, everyone here will agree with me. No 3rd party have ever taken power, the GOP never took over where the Whigs failed, and principles mean nothing compared to party loyalty. Anyone who says otherwise is unamerican and anyone who is unhappy with that fact is throwing their votes away like limpwristed surrender monkies, as I saw some else put it in another thread

Good points G&P but we don't need "Democrat Light" we need the GOP to get back to the core principles of Conservatism. Why would anyone want to vote for a party that wants to be like the other? They will vote for the original. I didn't hear the left saying, "we need to move right in order to win," after Bush won twice. The GOP just ran one of the most liberal Republicans and it didn't work out all that well.

G&P, 3rd party has mattered in the sense that they have swayed the vote towards the direction of both main parties at times. I have heard both parties say that "had the 3rd party not have been in, we would have taken the election."
