I see that MsUnderestimated is talking about Glenn Beck's project: http://msunderestimated.com/2009/03/04/we-surround-them-the-movement/
This movement is growing. Be a part of it! Connect with other like-minded people. This is one of the most important things you may ever do. Take action to take your country back, or perhaps lose it forever. It's all up to you.
We are going to have some very interesting and exciting things happening in the next few months here. While it is true that Chairman O is doing his best to sink the country into the depths of socialism (or worse), the momentum for the patriots who are fighting back is building. Tea Party protests are becoming just what I've mentioned before - they are growing, and will continue to do so. The message will be sent. The voices of the patriots will be heard. And the best part, is that each and every one of you can be a part of Taking Our Country Back!
Are you willing to be a TheAmericanRight hero?

I sent that picture of myself and hubby in for this project. Have you sent a pic in TL? I am anxious to see the outcome of the project.

I sent one in, but am still not sure what they are doing with them. I just liked that Beck is doing something to try and bring the people who actually care about the country together.

I watched the repeat of the show last night. Glenn was overcome with the success of this. He is a wonderful human being and a true lover of the freedoms of our country and its people.

Here are some great little video's from Beck's 9/12 project site:
http://theglennbeck912project.com/2009/04/01/heres-to-you-mr-jefferson
Oh how I wish I could get to this one:
http://theglennbeck912project.com/2009/03/26/from-a-san-antonio-tea-party-group/ I sincerely hope that the turnout at this one is HUGE! can you imagine being at the Alamo for this? Awesome.
What's it all about, Alfie? http://theglennbeck912project.com/2009/03/28/a-moving-video-submitted-by-a-9-12er%e2%80%a6/
What could happen's if you just stay home and don't bother to show up and let Washington see that you're not going to sit silently and take this? I knnow I already posted this, but: http://theglennbeck912project.com/2009/03/30/if-youve-read-the-5000-year-leap-then-you-know/
But TL, that could never happen! Oh yeah? http://theglennbeck912project.com/2009/03/31/glenn-gets-tough-with-ct-attorney-general/
Look, I know I'm probably being a bit of a pest about all of this. I wouldn't spend the time on it though, if I didn't believe whole heartedly in the importance of it.
There is a message that needs to be sent. A lot of people are working hard at organizing these things. But really, it all depends on the average person who will actually take the time and effort to show up. The larger the turnout, the stronger the message. Don't just sit and take this destruction of all that our country was meant to be. There are members of our military who are fighting - to this day, for freedom. They sleep in a desert in some foreign land. They spill their blood. They are apart from their families. If you are able bodied and able to attend, but fail do something so simple like show up at a protest against the destruction of our Constitution, then all I can say is, shame on you.
I'm not a young woman. I don't even have any kids to worry about down the road. But I showed up. I am going to show up to the next one and the one after that and the one after that. Why? Because I see it as the duty of every red blooded American citizen to fight back against the criminal's in Washington who are destroying our republic. Considering what others have done - people like my dad, who served for over three decades in the US Navy and spilled his blood and scarificed his time with his own family for something that he believed in, this is a small small thing to ask.
So I'm not doing this for myself. I'm going to go for our Founding Fathers, our military, for my friends, my neighbors, for you and for your children. That is why this is so important. This is not about what is convienent for anyone, or about any one political group. This is all about doing what is right for our country.

I have not signed up,I don't like the thought of allowing them to speak on my behalf.
SO FAR I'm agreeing with what he says, but I don't want to have to try and figure out how to get clear if he starts heading in a direction I don't like.

I'm not sure what you mean, Lee. You don't need to "sign up". The whole thing is really about one thing: preserving our country as it was meant to be.
Looks pretty simple to me.

Actually you are probably right, except that by sending your picture and claiming to be "one of them" then you are rubber stamping whatever Glenn decides he's for or against.
That's all I'm saying.

I agree with the general premise but I don't want anyone putting words in my mouth.

I cannot say that I'm in total agreement with everything Beck says. It's great that he's got this project going, but I think that it's still good for people to participate in the things that are of importance to them.
There is nothing mandatory with this. We'll leave the control freak crap up to those on the other side.
I really hope that these events turn out well though. I truly believe that we can do something about waht is happening here in our country. No way am I giving up, or giving in.

I cannot say that I'm in total agreement with everything Beck says.
So far I am in agreement with everything I've heard him say,I'm just careful about letting others speak for me (maybe overly so)

My only problem is that Beck is saying that people should not have any anti-Obama sort of stuff. The fact is, that under Obama's administration, we are seeing a very sharp left turn. While it is true that Bush also had a hand in some of this bailout mess, he is no longer in office. B. Hussein and the lib's have all of the control now and it is they who are taking us down this path - and at near light speed. I don't agree that people should not directly criticize Chairman O and the lib's at these protests.

I had not heard him say that, but I've been working a lot lately so I could have missed it.
Obama sucks, and I don't feel bad about saying so,and I'm happy to explain why I don't like him.

So far I am in agreement with everything I've heard him say,I'm just careful about letting others speak for me (maybe overly so)If I were to listen to him, I could get behind him. I agree with most of his viewpoints. My problem is with his Jim Carey like expressions in front of the camera. It makes it hard for me to take him seriously. I'm not big on all of the tears either.

You should listen to the radio show,I don't like his TV program nearly as much as the radio show.
I'm not a fan of all the goofy looks either I think he needs to try and appear somewhat intelligent and not come off like a goofball.
Men should cry like men, where no1 can see it.
Ok, I guess most of you watch Fox so you probably know Glenn Beck and you probably know about this 9/12 project he is trying to get going...
Here is the official website...
http://theglennbeck912project.com/
Now maybe I am just retarded, but is there no forum there? I mean, how does he expect people to "come together like the day after 9/11" if he has given us no way to have discussions? All I see is a way to comment to the blogs, and that is hardly a discussion... nobody reads all the blog comments and that is never going to organize a damn thing.
I did find this, but I think this is more like a fan-forum someone else may have started due to Glenn's lack of a forum on the real site...
http://912forum.com/
Then I even found this which is a "fan site" of the 9/12 project... are you kidding me?? I mean, it's not that you can't be a fan of the project... but if Glenn's site were done correctly there would certainly be no need for a whole seperate "fan site" to be created (less than a month after the real site went up!). And personlly I think the fan-site here looks much more professional than Glenn's real website...
http://www.the-912-project.com/
So if there is no forum on the real site, how does Glenn expect people to organize? For crying out loud there are 100 Obama sites where I could go to find all sorts of liberals organizing events and projects... and so either Glenn Beck didn't think a forum was needed on the 9/12 project, or else it's hidden.
THEN to make that even worse I go to http://www.thefoxnation.com/ which is Fox's brand new site where I guess you can do more "opinionated" stuff than at the real fox news site. Well there is no forum there either. What is wrong with these people! No wonder liberals think there is a big right-wing conspiracy... they probably are looking for our forum too!
No offense to this forum of course :D, as it is a great forum too, but I just don't understand why Glenn Beck and Fox News both make brand new sites urging people to go there and connect... and then the only thing they give us is blog. That's not going to get anything organized, and that is not going to change anyone's opinions if there is no way to talk to people.
Maybe I'm just stupid or something, but has anyone else found a forum on either of those two sites? If they are there then I think they are a bit to hard to find considering I literally spent about an hour clicking all over both sites looking.
Oh, and FYI, don't go to Fox Nation with an Opera browser as it will crash your browser like no page I've ever seen before, even when identifying as FF or IE... which is another thing I would have liked to tell them about if they had a way to report something like that.
So is it that nobody knows, nobody cares, or nobody read this?

Hi Rob,
I moved your posts over here so that they can be a part of this thread. It's wonderful what Beck has done with the project, and it surely is something that many of us are interested in talking about. You might not have had the response that you hoped for, only because of what was already here in this thread.
Glad to see you on board with the project! I find Beck very interesting and he is certainly passionate about this.
Best,
TL

Please watch Glenn Beck's TV shows this week. He's on FNC 5pm EST.
I am watching his show now and fully believe that he is correct in what he is saying. It's everything that many of us here have seen coming.
Please watch it. And keep your mind open to how things connect. Please. Our country is at stake. I know that some of you don't believe it. And I know that some may think that this sort of thing cannot possibly be true. But Obama is exactly what some of us knew he was all along.
