Where is that? I don't like camping, but I do like pretty scenerie. America has so many beautiful places that I have not yet seen - and I've been to a lot of different places.

Nice pictures, Sub. I've been to Main several times, I love that state. We've stayed at Booth Bay, Portland, and my favorite, Freeport.

Are all those folks your family?

I am posting this in this thread because it has several pics of my little buddy Bailey , he is my best buddy and he is very sick with Pancreatitis

I have loved many dogs who were handed down to me and I bonded and miss them even now, the difference with Bailey is he was the 1st puppy I ever had , We bought him at a time in my life that my wife and I were on the outs . When we brought him and started training him we had to work together like when we were raising our kids. He brought us back together and for that I will never stop thinking of him .

Bailey has Pancreatitis and I was told 5000 to 6000 to cure and no guarantee he will survive , I have to say no , I have already spent 1100 this week . that being said we have 2 more options 1 hope that he recovers on his own or 2 We can keep him hydrated and treat him the same medicine the clinic in N.H. was going to use but we will have to be the nurse so to speak , we have chose #2 it will cost about 300 hundred more dollars but I want to try . we had our vet order the medicine and we will start treatment Monday . I hope and pray he makes until monday as he is holding fluid which we were told he would .

I feel your pain subby. My Nicholas was my buddy, and I had to have him put down two years ago. It broke my heart, but I know he is in a better place. I still miss him to this day.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your beloved doggie, Subby. One of the hard things about loosing a pet is that there are a lot of people who do not understand the loving bonds that can develop betwen people and their animals. For those of us who have enjoyed that tremendous gift though, we know how special it is, and that makes it easier for us to give our friends who are suffering the same thing a lot of extra love and understanding.

Blessings to you, your wife and especially Bailey, for bringing his gift of love and togetherness to you.

Hugs,
TL

So far he seems better Mary but the Pancreas thing is touchy .
I hope he can pull through , I love him so. Is the doggy in your avatar your Nicholas ?

Subby: I feel your pain. My dog is old and has cataracts and unbeknownst to me came down with whipworms, and we had to worm her, and she was very, very sick. Thanks to a smart doctor, she is in good health now and has nearly doubled her weight.

No, subby, that is little Paco. I found him here in town in front of the grocery store almost three years ago. My Nicholas was a cocker spaniel. He was my best friend. I do however have a picture of him with myself if you go over to my profile and look at my album. He was about 14 years old when we had to have him put down. He got to a point where he could not stand on his rear legs. It was so sad, because he still wanted to be active. His breathing got labored as well. He would sit and pant, and try to scoot himself across the floor. It is difficult for me to talk about it still.
