I wonder what the reaction would have been if McCain had said "poor inner-city people cling to welfare, crime, and socialism".

In the words of Marilyn Manson (even if they are mocking) Thats all I have to say. Well minus the government.

Do you love your guns? Yeah
God? Yeah
And Government?

And Government?

I would complement him on his truthfulness. :icon_mrgr

Small town people have guns to protect themselves from a tyrannical government that Obama is proposing.

Obama turns the table on Clinton, and he says shame on her. I honestly don't know why people think Obama is an amazing speaker, in fact, he sounds like a liar who is dodging and twisting the real issue.

Well since religious belief and xenophobia go hand in had, Obama does have a point. Im not an Obama supporter, but much of this is true. And people are bitter, they are bitter for many reasons.....when your factories are being closed down and shipped overseas due to greed, when 81% of Americans feel the country is headed in the wrong direction, of course there is bitterness amongst people. people just cant handle it when things arent sugarcoated....he actually says something thats true (maybe worded poorly) and people are up in arms. What we need is more honest and open dialogue like this, its the only way problems are going to get solved and differences can be addressed if we talk about them instead of sweeping it under the carpet to let the bitterness and anger grow to a boiling point.

I hope Obama keeps making these kind of points , he's an elistist snob. He claim he wants to lead us all but yet he has nothing but liberalism seeping out of his mouth

What is the reason for the shutting down of factories here in the US?

Mary: It's outsourcing due to NAFTA and free trade agreements with China.

Uh oh, who knows, but Hillary could still win the super delegates, yet. It's not looking good for Obama after that bigot statement.

when 81% of Americans feel the country is headed in the wrong direction

Which is why he took a 20% hit in PA, as Bee pointed out.

I'd like a source for that if you don't mind

Well, well, well... Looks like a lot of people in his own party are turning against him:

I am an angry Democrat who is not going to support the Democratic Party if Obama is the Party's choice to run as our Presidential Candidate. source (http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474977319112)

Part of the appeal to many Democrats is an intellect that allows him to discuss difficult issues with sophistication and candor, as he did in Philadelphia with his speech on race. But his remarks at a private San Francisco fundraiser amplified the flip side of his personal manner, a sort of freestyle rhetorical approach sometimes better suited for a dorm room bull session. source (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/04/13/politics/politico/main4011791.shtml)

Heh. And to think, all he had to do was to keep his mouth shut, and avoid controversy, and he would have had it wrapped up. Now, Hillary might actually have a shot at winning the nomination.

Foot in mouth disease or that is who he really is? I say the latter.

Remember when he dumped on his grandma about typical white person?
He never apologizes, just blames others. We're too stupid to understand what he meant.

I can't see a picture or cartoon of Obsama without laughing at those "Baby New year" ears!
