What is the multi-quote button and how do you use it?

Well, let me start off by saying that I think the quote button is overused as it is.

With the multi-quote you can quote several posts. When you click on it you'll notice it turns red and stays red. You can then click the same icon in another post and it will turn red, etc. So lets say you click the icon in 5 different posts. Then when you click on Post Reply, all the quoted posts will show up in your reply.
