IHL-

I would like some answers. I am upset that my posts were pulled. I am upset with DoubleU...but that's more of a personal problem.

1) What did I say that got my posts pulled and not Wadi's who was involved in the exchange? I didn't use vulgar terms...I remember typing "wise ass" but that isn't a good enough reason to pull a post. I understood the dog being shot video post being pulled...this though...please explain.

2) The issue with DoubleU...Notice how he takes away from the good discussions on political topics:

"haha ha ha. This site is for IHL's free speech, not yours. You want free speech, start your own site." --Post 12 on The UN and You Thread

Follow that on afterwards and see how he plays a game. I want you to delete it all from the forum. I am not happy I had to go through that with DoubleU, but I was hoping he wouldn't be difficult and would just answer my questions.

IHL, I know you did not intend to have this kind of trouble when you started your website. You run a great website though.

"Conservatives here are just being too prideful when they insult some of the liberal members after they are being pampered with their beliefs on a site that welcomes what they have to say, yet chastises any other opinion that isn't their own? Blasphemy!" I'll have to agree with you on this one.

I also agree, but it is IHL's site. He can do whatever the hell he wants to.

There was no gamer being played Chi, you simply can not follow a conversation. You made a statement, I responded to your statement, then you couldn't figure out what I was talking about. Even though what I was talking about was directly above my post, you need me to quote each statement you make to make it easier for you. I will do that after this post so that because you are so easily confused.

It's not that DoubleU. Our conversation ended up being childish and stupid. There's no place for it in this forum and even if it wasn't your fault, I want it removed.

The main reason I pull posts is if they do not follow the thread or they drift off into a 'he said, she said' fighting match. I don't remember exactly why your posts were pulled but it was more than likely because they were off topic.

I don't understand why it's so hard for people to stay on topic but I guess it's fairly normal. Most other sites avoid this by not letting the other side even have a voice. As I've said, I don't what that sort of environment here. I've removed several posts from both sides. This isn't that hard. Stay on topic, don't resort to personal attacks and all goes along fine.

If there is one unique trait about TAR it is that we are really good at cranking out new posts and threads. For instance, if I take say a week off from the forum for some reason I am so far behind that I just need to start from scratch.

I have read with interest the comments of the administrator and moderators here concerning the seemingly large amount of housekeeping that needs to be done compared to other forums on which I lurk.

Therefore I wonder if part of the problem and/or fix doesn't reside with the average poster here, such as me.

Could it be that maybe we don't search for previous on-topic threads before posting a new one as much as we should? Would it help things if we did?

Yeah, a lot of threads are repeats or off topic - but, if I delete them, it will piss off someone. Then again, I guess you can't please everyone, or sometimes - anyone.

Doing a search for a topic is certainly a good idea. Then again, look at all the knowledge you are gaining by reading through all these posts!

Very well, I will search for older threads before making new ones.
