I can't seem to find an article about it, but somewhere recently, a high school was having their graduation. The school had a policy that no one was alound to cheer, only applaud, so that people's names wouldn't be missed. So anyway, one girl's family decided to ignore this and cheer, when their daughter went to recieve her diploma. As a result SHE WAS DENIED HER DIPLOMA!!!! This is one of the biggest injustices I have ever heard of. 4 years of working her ass off and she's gonna have to have minumum ====ing wage jobs (if she's lucky) the rest of her life 'cause she doesn't have a high school diploma and can't get into college, all because of a few ====ing cheers, that she didn't even do. So anyway, the ACLU refused to help, saying it was a just consequence. I mean, ====, the girl was even black, so you'd think that they might have been a little more prone to help her, seems how they aide black people with make believe cases of racism all the time, but noooooooooo, the damn morons at the ACLU are the biggest buch of assholian, brainless, bacteria the world has ever seen, god for-====ing-bid they ever air on the side of common ====ing sense (forgive the language, I'm just incredibly shocked at this). How could an organization that is so strongly dedicated to liberty that they think that grown men have the right to have sex with three year boys, think that it isn't violating civil rights to deny someone their high school diploma 'cause their family cheer for a few ====ing seconds. What the hell grounds would they even defend their decision on anyway, do they not want people getting their feelings hurt because they didn't get as loud of cheers as someone else? Is it another example of America's pussification?

I read about this before. It happened in Illinois so what do you really expect? This state cannot properly fund its schools and has the audacity to stop someone from getting a diploma. With the way things are going that piece of paper will be worthless soon anyways.

Legally speaking, she earned her diploma, and by law they MUST give it to her.

They still graduated from High School, they just don't have a keepsake diploma.

Either way however, it is pretty ridiculious.

Now this is an absolute load of crap:

Meanwhile, the school said the five students can still get their diplomas by completing eight hours of public service work, answering phones, sorting books or doing other chores for the district, situated about 150 miles southwest of Chicago.
Now they have to do community service in order to get their diplomas? Just because their families cheered?

Oh yeah, and she also happened to be an honor student, with a 3.4 GPA. You think that the ACLU, preaching about how they want black people to be in a higher socioeconomic position, would defend a black honor student against a real injustice (as opposed to the fake ones they regularly defend against) such as this one. It was also interesting that the five kids penalized were all minorities (four black, one hispanic). Now, this is probably for cultural reasons (blacks tend to be more boistorous in celebration culturally speaking), but it sure does seem very suspicious.

My friends...The ACLU only defends slacker minorities.. Not the ones who actually make something of themselves.

About a month before the May 27 ceremony, Galesburg High students and their parents had to sign a contract promising to act in dignified way. Violators were warned they could be denied their diplomas and barred from the after-graduation party.

Thumby: I wouldn't have signed it. Sounds like they've got a bunch of sticks shoved somewhere.
