Senate Committee Will Vote on Suspending RU 486 Abortion Drug (http://www.lifenews.com/nat3040.html)
According to documents provided to LifeNews.com, Senator Tom Coburn, a Oklahoma Republican, will be offering two RU-486 amendments to the bill.

The first amendment would suspend the availability of any drug approved under FDA’s subpart H category that has resulted in more deaths than lives saved. While the abortion pill has taken the lives of six women, it is not responsible for saving anyone.

The second would lift the liability protection that currently shields mifepristone, one of the two drugs in the RU 486 abortion process, so that women (and their families) who are injured, harmed or killed as a result of use of this drug can seek damages.

The Senate has never held a vote on the abortion drug, but, with Democrats controlling the chamber's committees, the amendments appear unlikely to be added to the bill.

A college drop-out in the late 70's working several minimum wage jobs one after the other, is pregnant with her third child. She already has a divorce and a miscarriage under her belt and the other child that she is raising is out of wedlock conceived long before the failed marriage and by another man who refuses help. The father of this child refuses to help as well. The woman was at one time morbidly obese and reciently underwent gastric bypass surgery and is still paying for that. Roe v. Wade had been passed the year before and she wonders if she will make it or if she can have the proceedure to terminate the pregnancy. What would you suggest?

Second senario: You have a young woman in her teens and engaged to be married. She comes up pregnant with a child that does not belong to her fiancee. She would be killed for cheating on him that is sure but she does not recall the act itself. What would she do?

2nd solution. Same thing. What the hell is someone doing having sex with someone and not even remembering it. Think about what you just said.

My scenario: My friend had sex and got pregnant and has no idea who the father is. She can't afford it and already screwed up with the kids she has. So she had a nice family adopt it and she still gets to visit. Bam, baby lives, baby has good home, family that can't have kids and can afford them and really want them now has one.

I say make it easier to adopt in this country.

I would not want to get an abortion myself because the post effects on the body could be harmful. It could lead to scarring and prevent future pregnancies and even if you think you don't want children now you may change your mind later. The thing is that I'm not going to tell other women what to do with their bodies. All of you have no right to tell people they shouldn't go out and get an abortion. If they don't want to have a child, then that is their own business. Pregnancy itself is hard on the body. You lose calcium from your bones and teeth and they become weakened and people who have high blood pressure have to be on bed rest most of the time. I know many of you feel that these unborn children should not be aborted, but it is really none of your business. That is just how I feel about personal matters such as if you would have an abortion or not, what religion you practice, and if you are homosexual or not. It is no one's business except their own in these matters. I think that women who are considering abortion should make up their mind and have it within the first trimester (first 3 months) if they are seriously going to do it because there are risks after that time. I also am against aborting the child when it has already progressed so long in its development. I really think people should use condoms when they are having sex instead of being foolish but there are some cases such as rape or incest when you should understand why the woman would not want to be carrying that child. I would not keep it either in that case and honestly who would want that constant reminder of the bad things that happened. Also if you want to tell me that someone could have adopted that baby, I would have to tell you that there are too many children out there already who have not been adopted yet because nobody wants them. Sure everyone wants a cute newborn baby, but what about the older children out there who need homes? Go adopt them if you care so much. Become a foster parent. Do something to help the children that have lost their parents or have been taken away from abusive homes. Just don't be telling women not to get abortions when it is their choice and they don't want to put their bodies through a pregnancy that may be difficult for them and there is no need to bring more unwanted children into this world. I know some people who were adopted and they always were sad because they knew their real parents had not wanted them. Also, I just wanted to say that using birth control pills and the morning after pills are not really abortion because they don't really kill the embryo. All the morning after pills do is make it impossible for the embryo to attach to the uterine wall and it is then flushed out with everything else during menstration. Birth control pills have hormones in them that trick the body into thinking it is already pregnant and then you won't release eggs when you take the pill everyday. Since there is no egg to fertilize, you are not really killing fetuses or anything. So yes I support the right for a woman to have an abortion even though I couldn't do it myself. Call me pro-death if you like, but then I would have to say that you are invading other people's privacy when you have no right to. You have no right to judge other people and make rules about their body. Only God has the right to judge anyone in the end and none of you are God.

I agree with that statement that God is too big for just one religion. I am starting to think that no religion out there is right. How do we know? There are so many. I just don't think that anyone should be judging people for choices involving their own personal life. A fetus is not a person until it is born and can live on its own outside of the mother's body. Even the Jewish don't believe that an unborn child has a soul yet. It could die on its own before it is born anyway. I am not going to let religion or anything else convince me that I should tell someone else not to get an abortion. It is none of our business.
