i am just unclear as to why an organization would readily use a couple hundred year old translation, and not try to fund attempts to obtain as many as possible previous copies, to see what old translations have in them etc.

Are the documents holy themselves? (no not the papers/book, just the words or message) i just do not understand why king james did such a bang up job no one could ever beat his popularity in translating the (aramaic?latin?) texts?

you people may think i am some punk teen in here for kicks, like it or not just a twenty something with some post-secondary education (from some places, obviously never taken a theology 1101!!!) but my parents had christian upbringings (presbyterian and methodist, respectively) but i think my dad ate went too 1 too many dead shows to believe in that noise, and my mom is all into astrology and shit. so i wasnt ever baptized (to my knowledge) the closest thing i get to religion is funerals, when some old fat white dude is almost yelling at me, telling me something about me being a sheep? and a flock, and shephards shepharding us into heaven?

i do believe a person whom we now call jesus christ walked this earth about two thousand years ago spreading beliefs about living with eachother, how to live, what to live for and he must've had a damn good mouth, cause it's 2 thousand years later and we're still worshipping the guy. (he's only 1/3 of the "total" god, right?)

i really do not enjoy the abrahamic religions, they seem linear, solid, a lot of "black and whiteness". i want a religion that embraces the chaos of life, after all that is the ONLY thing that binds ALL humans togetherl

2nd solution. Same thing. What the hell is someone doing having sex with someone and not even remembering it. Think about what you just said.
Congradulations you just prevented the birth or our Lord and savior Jesus. Oh and there was no such thing as contraception back then. And there is no mention of the actual conception act in the Bible. So I figure it was in the night some supernatural thing.



My scenario: My friend had sex and got pregnant and has no idea who the father is. She can't afford it and already screwed up with the kids she has. So she had a nice family adopt it and she still gets to visit. Bam, baby lives, baby has good home, family that can't have kids and can afford them and really want them now has one.

I say make it easier to adopt in this country.

If the King James Version (which is what Dr. Madd prefers) is unintelligible then try another version that you can understand...there are currently 100's of versions available to anyone who wants a copy...I have KJV, New International Version, New Revised Standard Version, and the Message. Go find one you can understand.

There are of course other copies, but I like King James. Aramaic, Latin, and Greek, texts. *Straps post to slab of stone*

Your problem is not religion, but doctrine.. Do not mix the two up.

A religion with no guides for ethics is an evil religion. You've got to stand for something, or you'll fall everything. Everything is in shades of good and evil..

Skirting the question.. What do you after the bun is in the oven, I think was the question. While it would be nice for people to do what you ask, I'm glad this wasn't the case. Myra is a special, wonderful part of my life and I love her.

Which, if you'd understand what she said, she was all for. Again, her mom wanted to, and kept the baby, and she turned into a wonderful girl.
