Five parents who asked to transfer their children out of Batavia High School classes with a transsexual teacher have been denied, according to city schools Superintendent Richard Stutzman.

Diagnosed with a transsexual disorder, the teacher is still going through a medical transition but returned to school dressed as a woman -- and addressed as a female.

This is all the regular bullcrap you see in the news all the time that makes you sick- but here's the worst part.


Under state and federal laws, a person with a transsexual disorder is considered disabled, is protected from discrimination and must be reasonably accommodated by an employer. Can you belive that!? I can understand a disabled person such as a person who can't walk, but if you say that it's a mental disorder (which it's not) why would you hire them? Why would you hire somebody with a mental disability? ARRRGG!

That is BS. Schools are not meant to cater to the needs of the teacher. If a student is truley uncomftorable with their teacher (and in this case, it is entirely understandable), then they should have every right to transfer out. A good student-teacher relationship is important, and if the student is freaked our or uncomftorable with the teacher, then there is a problem.

It's one thing to ask for the teacher to be fired, it's another to ask to be transferred. I would just leave the schoola and convince others to do the same. Less students=less money. Maybe then they'll realize who's in charge.

transexual teacher????? im totally glad that im not in that school there are way to many screwed up people in my school as there is!!!! ya know what??? when i was in sex ed. we learned about the birds and the bees, not the birds and the birds!!! agreed?????

well i agree with madcowhunter about building a student teacher relationship, and if the students arn't comfortable with the teacher because he's black then he should be transfered

No, what would be sick is if the teacher lost his job on something like Race, but if you are attempting to draw a connection between a mental disorder like Transvestitism and being black, then you have your head so far up your ass you'd be able to vomit it back out if you had a spare.

I know the show has some sick humor, but I think what makes it funny is that the the kids get put into situations that you would never think a kid would ever be put in.
