Clinton's final four budget year was actually $1,043,000,000,000 less than he said it was.
The Clinton administration reported a surplus of $559 billion in its final four budget years. The audited numbers showed a deficit of $484 billion.
The government has run a deficit of $2.9 trillion since 1997

Why would you even bother about mere trillions?

This is just another attempt by the GOP to discredit the Clintons. So he was off by a couple trillion dollars, big deal!

did you folks even read his link? take an article that lambastes both parties accounting practices and only apply it to the dems? If you used the same inclusions on the bush budget, i think my head might explode. Find me a president in our nations history that has applied future entitlement debt to their current years budget defecit. you want to bash an administration and/or congress for their spending, you need a dose of reality:

It just goes to show Clinton's leftist propaganda is very powerful. It just goes to show how the Democrats use the tactic of telling lies over and over again until they become "truth."

While Clinton manipulated numbers more freely than has been done before, lets remember that he isn't the only one. Go to the reference library and read #9.All companies in the U.S. use G.A.P. (general accounting practices), except the government. Efforts to get the government to apply the same practices to themselves that they demand others follow have been for naught. The people have to demand it.Many of you rejected the idea that the government was going bankrupt, you didn't think so, the idea was ridiclous, you didn't want to hear it. But if the government used GAP, it would clearly show we are in serious financial trouble. Dems of course will want to raise taxes, they will condemn the war, but you won't hear them blast the Medicare prescription plan. Nor will you hear them propose cutting back on social handouts unless its limited to corporations. You won't form an intelligent opinion of a viable solution until you're able to wrap your arms around the problem away from partisan politics.Had this country followed Say's Law and not allowed the bastardization of capitalism, we would never have developed these problems.
