the feature allowing others to see who voted how has been disabled i believe.

Actually, it depends on how the poll is set up. There is an option to make the results public or not. Typically, I leave it to not show how each person voted. I think that may yield more accurate results. If someone wants to comment on their vote, or publicize it, they can do so in the poll discussion.
