IMPORTANT!

The ACLU along with activist judges is about to file for a DEMOLITION permit to remove the Mt. Soledad Cross. A petition is now being brought by the American Center For Law And Justice to bring this matter to the desk of President George W. Bush. With the stroke of his pen, our president can put an end to San Diego's 16 year battle with ONE man, an athiest ,who along with the ACLU, seeks to destroy this mountain top cross which stands as part of a Korean War memorial.

You do NOT need to be a San Diegan, or even a registered voter for that matter (so this includes the younger folks here) to sign this petition. You can sign it on line, or better yet, print it and take it to your friends, school, work, church, where ever you can and have others sign it.

This needs to be done immediately because our time is running out. Chances are, the cross could not even be moved in one piece. If removal is attempted, it will most likely crack in half. Anyone want to see a picture of that broken cross which has been standing on that mountain for the past 50+years?

PLEASE, Help to save this important memorial!

Go To: http://www.stoptheaclu.com and sign the petition NOW.

Alright, My name has been added to the petition...

This is one of the most absurd cases I have ever heard. I hope the removal of the cross is prevented...

:bowdown1: Thankyou:bowdown1:

Here we have one of these situations where we all have the chance to make a difference. I don't believe that the cross will come down. I have never believed that it will actually happen. My mind just cannot go there I suppose.

I was thinking that I wished that you could all feel the passion of my city for this issue. But then I remembered that I'm at The American Right here, and that you all DO feel the same passion for this because you all know that if this cross comes down, there will be many many more. One by one the ACLU will pick them off.

As soon as I began getting the petitions out this morning, people began scooping them up like free money on the street. A woman visiting from San Antonio even took home a big envelope of petitions so she could take them home and to her church this sunday.

Last time when we worked on the referendum to get the Soledad issue on the ballot, it was not unusual for people to come out and stand in line to sign it. Of course, the proposition made it onto the ballot and passed by an overwhelming 76%, but now the ACLU says we had no right to even vote on the issue.

San Diego is broke. Between corrupt city officials and their shady pension package, forking over huge sums of money fighting for the Soledad Memorial and funding our illegal alien population (including the increased police to keep things under control), the ACLU fully believes that they can win this simply because of the financial burden. They are wrong. They seem to forget that this is still a military town and that we are not going to let a bunch of commie's destroy our memorial without the fight of our lives.

Thanks to everyone who has signed the petition. And, thanks to IHL for allowing me to continue on this Soledad rant I have been on for so long now. Who knows, the people here in TAR land could just possibly add enough signatures and attention to this issue to get this thing taken care of once and for all. Never forget what happened in Florida when Gore was defeated by that tiny little margin. Every vote counted, and here, every signature counts, just the same.

Topiary: I propose then that there needs to be an organization, whether legalized under our constitutional rights or outlawed by the tyrannical left, that erects 2 crosses somewhere for every religious symbol taken down.

We've already got some of that going on here Dr. Madd. I don't know if you've ever been here, but San Diego is very "hilly." There are a lot of homes on hillsides where the land behind them faces our freeways etc. Along highway 52 there is talk about erecting many crosses should the cross at the end of 52 atop Mt. Soledad come down.

For now though, I just plan on winning this battle. If the cross does come down though I will tell you now that the image of the broken cross will become the new unwilling symbol for the ACLU. I personally will do everything possible to have that image seen by all. Trust me on this one, the ACLU will not like the punishment they will endure if they destroy that monument. I'm not threatening violence. I'm threatening the truth through an image they will have created, and it won't be pretty for them.

Remember, the ACLU has pledged: Mt Soledad today, all other crosses in the future. Anyone want to see Arlington's symbols destroyed? This will include ALL religious symbols eventually. Cross today, Star Of David tomorrow, and on and on.......

PLEASE! SIGN THE PETITION !
EMAIL THE WHITE HOUSE!

We are being told here that all of this is vital to having this monument saved. My Congressman, Duncan Hunter (R), is doing all he can but he needs our voices to be heard as well.

I just added my name to the petition. Topairy Lady, I am coming out to San Diego this weekend over mothers day. I hope to see this cross up close in case it does eventually get taken down. Maybe I'll run into you (even though I have no clue what you look like).

Thanks again to everyone who signed the petition! I'll be out from now till the end of the weekend getting signatures.

Anti-Liberal, WELCOME to San Diego! Have a wonderful time while you are here. Yes, do go up and see the cross! If our weather clears up (not very likely here in the May Gray days) you'll have a spectacular 360 degree view from up there. Also, while in the La Jolla area be sure to go down to Coast Blvd. and walk through Scripps park and along to The Childrens Pool area where the harbor seals hang out. It's a real favorite with residents and tourists alike. For lunch, go to Georges At The Cove, can't beat the scenerie. Bring your family and friends to sign the Soledad petition throughout the village. There's one place next to la Valencia Hotel that I know will have them. That woman is a real go-getter when it comes to the cross issue so she'll probably have signs out front. I think the clubhouse at The Cove will also have them. Welcome Anti-Liberal!

It looks like Brazil and Argentina has the ACLU on their backs too..
I figured that the ACLU was only here in our country, I suppose wherever they have liberal groups, they will go anywhere for this agenda.

Why not? They call the communist party the International.

Is this the same, famous landmark Christ statue that overlooks Rio? That would rank right up with destroying the standing Buddhas as the Taliban attempted.

I had an idea earlier. Topiary: Try this: Get a bunch of Supporters of the Cross, go to the location, and picket it, protest the ALCU's headquarters. In other words, give the Hippy-loving Pinkos their own back. Maybe someone could chain themselves to the cross. Make a big media stink over it. It worked for the left.

Signature gathering is going well. I'm coming across a lot of people like Bumblebee who are willing to pass this on to as many others as possible. I really can't thank you all enough for signing this and getting the word out. Creativity is key in a desperate situation.

Today I gathered signatures from not just San Diegans, but also tourists who have heard of the Soledad cross plight. I've got people from all over California, many cities in Arizona, one person from Ohio, one person from Wisconson, one person from Ireland and several from Las Vegas. I am heartened by the response.

If all of you could keep getting the word out that would be great. You have done a fantastic job so far and for that I am very grateful. Thankyou.

Dr. Madd, if it does come down to a demolition crew Vs. San Diegans, anything could happen. It would not surprise me to see 10,000 citizens with arms locked one in one standing in circles around that cross. After all, this is not just about a religious symbol, this is about a memorial to our military who have been such an important part of this fine city. Residents and tourists alike are really PISSED over this ridiculous war we've had to wage with ONE athiest and the ACLU who supports his rights over the rights of the 76% of the voters that want the cross to remian in tact.

Keep fighting the good fight everybody. I can't thank you enough for all of your support in saving this important monument. Rest assured, when the ACLU comes knocking in your neck of the woods, I'll be there for you as well.

Best,
T.L.

I have been to San Diego once before, my brother is is in the navy and is stationed there. He is getting married this weekend in I think it's called Balboa park. When I was in San Diego before I remember seeing the cross from a distance and I hope to see it up close this time. I ate at Dick's last resort and Bali Hi and I took a trip down to Tajuana (I went there legally and came back legally).
Thankyou for all of the work you are doing to get signatures for the petition. We need more people like you.

Stay away from the Code Pinko's in that park Anti Liberal. They are there every sunday whining and whaling near the Naval Hospital.

Oh, you don't need to go to Tijuanna again. We've got the constant parade of Che t-shirt clad Viva La Revolution jackasses in our streets now. Is'nt that just great?

Sent this email to the white house:

To whom it may concern,

Mt. Soledad is a large, cross-shaped monument in San Diego California. It is my understanding that the ACLU wants to tear it down. It is part of a Korean War Memorial, and while I live in the Southeast United States, both as a Christian and an American, I believe it is wrong to tear down a religious icon of any kind. Separation of Church and State is not a protection from religion, but a Protection OF religion. So if anyone who reads this can, please advise
our leaders that the majority of the people want the cross to be there to celebrate as a historical and religious
symbol for the ages.

Sincerely

What's bad, is I neglected to remove my signature from it. So, at the end of the letter it reads "I WANT DECAPITATIONS!"
