I sure hope so...if those spics riot, then that will bring legislation closer to a head. People won't tolerate illegals rioting....they'll put the pressure on Congress...
I say bring it on....

okay, so I just read the story you provided Namvet...
Now I have an anger about me....they are banning waving the US flag too?
Bullshit...I say those students should proudly get suspended for being patriotic and showing that Mexico is NOT the 51st state....

Where's the ACLU on this one? You'd think they'd be all over protecting the student's right to wave the American flag.. But no.

Not waving our own national flag that represents America??? I don't know if I'm spitting mad or furious at our people for letting this happen.
It's our country, our flag, why aren't they banning those Mexican flags only? Why include ours? What a bunch of wussies this country is turning into.
Is this nation scared to stand up for our rights? How dare they ban our own flag, I wish we would round up the illegals and send them all back, now.
We need to change the law that illegals who have babies born in America, are not citizens, and while we're at it, ban all flags from all other countries.
If they want to be true Americans, they adopt to our ways and our flag. I can't imagine going to another country and waving our American flag in other countries protesting. What's wrong with the world today?
I'm not a racist, but this is too much to take. It's not right and totally unfair.
I'm truly upset over this.

Banning all flags: I'm against that, but I believe that if you fly another country's flag, it should be on YOUR OWN PROPERTY. I, for example have one on my wall at home: A Culpepper minute men flag, Old Glory, A confederate naval ensign, and a Union Jack (British flag) Why? Because My ancestors were British. Would I raise a Union Jack over a public building no.
It's the same sort of cultural genocide we're dealing with in the South with all the left-wing yo-yos trying to eliminate the confederate flag, because it supposedly represents slavery. To the Liberals, it represents something worse than Slavery: A decentralized government with States' rights. The Liberals want everything centralized.
The Latin Americans: If they are english speaking, have no criminal background in their homeland, and are ready to work under our laws, then we should be ok with them. If they refuse to speak english (The US is not an extension of Mexico) , have a criminal background, or fail to get a job after one year, send 'em packing.
Mexico as the 51st state: Were that it so. You see, if Mexico were American Territory, then it would be under US laws, and the companies would have to pay Mexicans the same mininum wages we have. Then there would be no problem with Jobs, no one sneaking into Mexico to avoid prosecution here, and we could get a real handle on the drug trafficking.
What frightens me more is not the Mexico would be a 51st state, but that Mexico would see us as it's newest province

you know whats funny everyone is preaching equality and ending racisim in the new thread about that black lady and in here everyone is bashing hispanics and bringing them down by saying spic and such; seem a little hypocritical. also it doesnt matter what you did in your old country this is a land of oprritunity where ANYONE can make a living and get a new start (i.e roade (spelling?) island which was a colony originaly established for debtors) now i disagree with illegal immigration and fully support legislation that helps stop it, but legal immigration is neccecsarry to america; i established the facts in a previous post. this has also got off topic the flag ban is b.s and the american flag sould never be lowered to anyone... o well just thought i would add my 2 cents

So this principal says that the American flag stands for bigotry, and was being used in a threatening way. What the hell are these people using the Mexican flag for?
I have been extremely pissed since this whole thing came about. I think this is more about illegal immigration. I wonder if they just waited until they had more backing?
Anyway, if anything the Mexican flag should be banned, not the American flag.

No flag needs to be banned, American, Mexico or otherwise.
People calling for flag banning need to grow up.
You can stop me from waving my flag when you pry it from my cold dead hands.

So you are okay with someone waving a nazi flag?
What if someone moved in beside you and started flying about ten nazi flags everywhere? As long as there is no HOA clause to prevent it, you are okay with it?
I am not trying to start anything, I am just curious...

Nope, Dag, I wouldn't care if my neighbor flew a Nazi flag or ten Nazi flags. Their flag is their business, just like me flying the American flag and the Stars and Bars is mine.

The biggest problem with this country is that too many people are hyphenated Americans. You know, African-American, German-American, Spanish-American.
Everyone camps out around their own little flags, and as such there is a fractured perspective of national identity.
You can thank the liberal limp wrist animal molestors for that one too.

I am British-American, but firstly and lastly, an American. My ancestors hacked their way through the wilderness of tidewater Virginia, through the foggy appalachians, and across the Indiana plain.

Why hell I'm scottish/american, irish/american, british/american, french/american, german/american, and a little bit dutch/american(dont worry about the french/american thing my german side beats the shit out of it regularly and the only thing that the french side affects is my love of cheese).
So what flag should I fly.... oh I know the American flag because I am really american/american no matter what my cultural heritage is. People need to remember that they are an american citizen no matter if there born and raised or immagrated legally. That american flag should be raised above all others.

That is exactly how I feel, if I hadn't gone on some tirade like I did, I might have come up with what you said.
Your post speaks volumes of what is happening to this country.

But a people with no heritage, is a people easily controlled. No Heroes. By virtue of having French, German, and English, as well as Sioux and Cherokee blood, I have heroes as far afield as Charles Degaulle, Robin Hood, William the Conqueror, Baron Von Richtofen, And Sitting Bull.

I was wondering...have all schools stopped saying the Pledge of Allegiance?
The Pledge of Allegiance gave us an identity.

I can understand people wanting to know where they came from and wanting to know about their origins. You have to know where you were before you know where you're going.
But the problem comes when people spend too much time looking at where there fathers were and not where they are now.
Be proud of your past, but not at the expense of your present.

There was a time in this nation's history when people would kill to be called an American, when being American was the best thing you could be.
America meant something: it was hope and freedom.
And the people coming into this country loved their new home, and they were proud to call themselves American and wave that flag. My grandfather cried every 4th of July he was so proud to be a part of this nation.
And this is what has become of it. It sickens me. It truely does.
I wonder what people would think if we shut down all the borders for ten years. Bet their asses would be grateful then!

Oh great, look who pulled himself away from his books and his bomb making lab in his garage long enough to post.
Good to see you posting again, pal. And its a really good point...now if you could just churn them out a little more often we'd be set.

So I guess your out there protesting people waving Irish flagson Saint Patricks Day then arent you? I know its a little different, but there we go agaion with making blanket statements.

Yeah LovetoSki, your analogy is way off target. It's different when you are celebrating a holiday that has to do with your heritage and having fun with it. Never once saying "Irish Pride" or "We'll take our land back."
But when people tear an American flag down or flip it upside down and put their flag above ours, then we have a problem.
They came HERE we didn't go THERE. They need to respect the flag of this country. They can still fly theirs, but when they use it derrogatorily and are saying things such as "Kill the gringos," it's extreme.

I agree with you - but do you want to pay 410 for a head of lettuce, or $6 for a pound of tomatoes? We do sort of need some of these people here to give us the cheap labor that no one else will do.

There was actually a study done on that recently, that showed the average family only spending like $30 more dollars per year in the grocery store on fruits and vegetables if the illegal’s were truly banned.

Well, that's an extra $30 I would be more than happy to spend...
