What's your point? Journalists interview people who have interesting things to tell, no matter how bad they may be. My sister's friend, who I met once, is a terrorism specialist who used to work for CNN. He even interviewed bin Laden back in the 90's in Afghanistan. Saddam was interviewed several times by western journalists as well.
