Cheney Accidentally Shoots Hunter in Texas (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,184617,00.html)

Oh well, accidents happen. I cut my finger the other day with my new knife but no one is writing anything about that.

You beat me to it, I was just about to post this story. I can almost hear the libs trying to find a reason why Cheney would want Whittington eliminated.

I cut my finger the other day with my new knife but no one is writing anything about that. Now if you had accidental shot your finger with a gun, you could expect Michael Moore and other anti-gun libs to be at your door the next day in an attempt to brainwash you (Sheehan style) into becoming the next anti-gun spokesperson.

The DU can go ==== themselves. They're a bunch of kool-aid drinking ====s. But this is not good PR for Cheney.

Well FT, if you are a member over there, you must be hiding the fact you have any conservative thoughts or they would have run you off a long time ago.

I am a gold member of DU and I don't think they should go '====" themselves. They have their opinions just like you have your opinions

And BR is entitled to his opinions as well.

Yeah, I have heard that even the slightest move towards the right over there will get you banned...

Did anyone see the White House Press Room this morning? Scott Mccellan started out reporting about the economy and so forth, but the minute he was finished, the press ignored everything he said and went on a feeding frenzy about Cheney. They were trying to imply everything under the sun about the story. Like why wasn't it reported sooner, they wanted all the little details from the time it happend and that only that woman reported it to their newspaper in Texas. They all looked mad and would even repeat the same questions in different forms. I believe they were furious because they didn't report the story to the national press, therefore they were trying to imply that Cheney and the administration are "hiding something."

I really don't care for Scott Mccellan as Bush' press secretary. He always looks like he's scared of the press. He's answers come out like he really is hiding something. If I think that, what does the other side think?

The worse that can happen with this story is that Cheney will be looked as bad hunter, and the left might come out why they are against guns and killing animals and people. Think what would have happened if the man had died.

O'Reilly started he's show tonight by saying; "CHENEY SHOOTS A LAWYER."

It looks like the press ended up being the most interesting story.

Do you guys think the story on Cheney will stop by tomorrow, or do you think that they'll keep riding on it?

Ted Kennedy's car killed more people than Dick Cheney's shotgun.

Sorry Hairy, I've just been really pissed off lately, and I felt like using the word "====." Yes I could have used more affluent terms but "====" is such a versitile term that can be used in so many ways.

Back to the subject at hand : The guy was effin stung, meaning a few stray pellats hit him. For those of you above the Mason-Dixon, getting stung is quite normal. I have been stung twice and I have only been on a few hunts. You could be the father of gun saftey, wearing a rainbow colored jump suit, if you go on enough hunts, it is going to happen to you. If they were hunting deer, it would have been a different story, but they were hunting bird. . . crap happens.

BR without a great deal of effort, I'm sure you could find other words in the dictionary more appropriate.

Good points empty. Did anyone happen to catch the guage on the shotgun. For birds it couldn't have been to big, I'm sure I've been hit with paintballs that have hurt worse.

It was a 28 from what I read. I don't even know how it managed to break skin. They make pellat guns with more firing power than a 28.

Edit : And he was using bird shot ammo. . .that stuff is made to disperse over a wide range.

BR wasn't attacking anyone on this site personally. Remember, this place used to be called IHateLiberals. People here can damn libs all they want, but when they direct their comments at other people on the forum to where it takes away from a debate, then it is a problem.

Yeah ETM, some news stations reported it as BUCKSHOT! Just goes to show you how much they either dont know about hunting, or just want to make the V.P. look bad. Buckshot would ====in make a quail explode.

Remind me if I ever get an invite to go hunting with Dick to NOT RSVP...

haha.. anyway, everyone is making a big deal of it... As long as the guy is okay, they should just lay off..

BushRocks

No, this is what is going to happen. Some independent liberal group will research Cheney's relationship with Whittington(the guy he capped) and try to find a reason why Dick would shoot him. That is what's going to happen, but Americans by that time will say 'WHO THE ==== CARES? YOU PEOPLE ARE STUPID ASSHOLES WITH NO AGENDA!" No agenda except "bash bush."

many years back I hunted deer. booze and guns are a deadly combo. one year a drunk hunter shot and killed his mother in law. and beat the rap. also i remember many drunk hunters up in trees who fell asleep and died when they fell out. enough for me. hung my rifle on the wall and its still there.
