My question is what good of use do we have in opening these routes. What American in their right mind would want to go to Iran? Its not like you're gonna be greeted with flowers and a coconut like in Hawaii. Iran only benefits by making it easiest for terrorists to access America, now in multiple ways.

I can see it, next to the ticket desk another desk, Forged Passports and Background Wipes.

First of all, you can easily get to Iran from the US (I think). All you have to do is fly a foreign airline, like British Airways, Lufthansa, Air France, or KLM, and you can be in Tehran with just one stop in Europe. This is why the flights may be wanted.

About 1 million Iranians live in the United States, mostly in California.
This claim holds water. Back when I was in Elementary school up by Sacramento, there were several Iranian families in our town, at least one of which actively visited relatives in Iran.

This should be interesting to see if it actually happens. If they DO allow flights from Iran then they should have security screeners at the ARRIVAL airports as well.
