OK TL, here is your tutorial on your way to posting smilies. We are all so excited for you. I have made this thread 'sticky' so it will stay at the top of this list until we see the first smiley from you. :wink1:

I would ask that others refrain from posting for awhile unless you can really add something important to this thread. Then when we get TL all set up, we can all congratulate her.

OK TL, I think the reason that you don't have any smile icons on the right side of your screen is because you have the 'basic' editor enabled.

In the menu bar at the top of the screen, click on the menu for 'UserCP'. This is your user control panel. In the UserCP click on 'Edit Options' on the left side. Scroll all the way down to the bottom in the 'Miscellaneous Options' section and click the down arrow for the Message Editor Interface and select the "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Edit" WYSIWYG stands for What You See Is What You Get. (don't we wish that was always true.)

After selecting the Enhanced Interface, click on the 'Save Changes' button. This will take you back to the UserCP menu. Click on the Forum option at the top of the screen to take you back to the forums. Scroll back to the Support section and click on this thread. Click on "Post Reply". On the right side of the text input box you should see 15 smile icons. Clicking on on an icon will put it into the text box. Just below the icons is the word "More". Click on that will bring up another window with more icons. Scroll down to the 3D section to see the 3D icons. Clicking on one of them will also put it into the text input box. Have your cursor at the point where you want the icon to be place and that is where the icon will display.

I would like to know how to insert a picture (I will edit the size of course) and also how do I make a specific word a hot link?

I'll tell you how to make the word a link...

Type your message including the word or phrase you want to be the like. Scroll over it to highlight it then click on the Globe looking icon above the text box. You will have to have Enhanced edititing options enabled for this too.

Enter the link in the box including the http:// . For example is you want to link to www.abc.com be sure to enter http://www.abc.com.

Thats about it. The highlighted word or phrase should now be a link.

I don't know. But that guy is a little "pretty" looking to me. I wouldn't exact describe Steve Hayes as "burly." He's just beyond adorable, IMO. Steve Hayes, Todd Palin ... that sort of cutie-pie.
