Okay Wadi, I have to run an errand here but I thought I'd start my very own bootcamp for the TAR challenged.

Here I will experiment in lessons on how the site operates. I'll try my best to not become too wonderful at it though because I know you would not like it if I took over your job. (Yeah right)

Lesson #1

Okay TL, I hit the button that says "post reply" I'm sure you're familiar with it as you have 437 posts to your credit. Ahhhh, now a box comes up upon which I am able to type a message. Well low and behold on the far right of that box are 15 smilies, under which is [more], you have that don't you?? Well alas, if you don't, then look up at the top of this box. There is the font style, font size, letter color and then a white smiley face with an arrow pointing downward. Did you know that if you hit that and scroll to the bottom, it'll say "show all smilies". Oh my goodness, what happens when you hit "show all smilies"? Why, a separate box pops up and by expanding the size of it, you can scroll down to the 3d smilies. Then all you have to do is click on the one you want.... not the code mind you, click on the smilies itself.:wink1:

Nope, there is nothing to the far right of that box. Just a pretty blue color. There is also nothing that says: Font style, font size..and all that.

Under the area that says Reply To Thread (in a darker blue) ther is just the title box and then the area for the reply. Oh, there is a small area to the top right that says: Logged in as Topiary Lady.

After that there is nothing until the bottom where the Post Icons area is. After that ther is just the Submit Reply and Preview Post buttons.

The box underneath says: Additional Options and there are more things there that I have no idea about.

I did notice some time back that I could place smilie thingies wherever I wanted. The IHL made some changes (to confuse me no doubt) and after that I could only put the smilies in the title. Before I could put them wherever the cursor was.

Guess I'm a tech tard. Hee hee....just part of my charm.

And which color scheme are you using?? Not that it'll make any difference, but just to be on the same page during school...........

I'm using...TAA DAA...whatever it is that came up. I have no idea what it is called. I could'nt change it if my life depended on it.

Hey Wadi, Guess what? There is a box way down at the bottom left that says Posting Rules. In that box I can click on Smilies are On and there are smilies there.

Okay, I just looked at that but still have no idea how to get them from there to here. ??? If I close the smilie box then they disappear. When the box is open I cannot see my reply.

Are we making any progress? Having a good laugh are you?
