Mexico's President Vicente Fox is in an unroar over the proposed building of a new fence along our southern border, calling the project "disgraceful and shameful." It seems the finger wagging President feels he must educate the American public in the area of human rights for the criminals who choose to illegally break into our country. This from a leader of a country that illegally exports not only contraband items like drugs and weapons, but unloads it's population of unwanted human poor on us as well.

Just when you think Mexico has unleashed enough illegal exports to burden American law enforcement with, they throw us a new bone. Welcome to Mexico's hottest new cottage industry, the disturbing world of puppy smuggling. Although it is not illegal to bring puppies into the U.S. from Mexico, it is illegal to import puppies that have not been properly vaccinated, or have health certification. Mexico's filthy puppy mills are now sending thousands of canines a year across our southern border hidden in wheel wells, glove compartments, speaker boxes, etc. These puppies are ofter under age and nearly ALL are sick with diseases like Parvo, Distemper, Scabies, and diseases like Ringworm which can be transmitted to humans.

Hundreds of sick and dying puppies a month are being confiscated by the Border Puppy Task Force, and many more make it across only to be sold and taken home to the arms of a loving child, where the puppy will most likely die. So much for that happy image of little Johnny finding his new wet-nosed best friend in his stocking Christmas morning.

For those lucky enough to spot the problem in time to seek medical help, this will usually cost in excess of $3,000 in veterinary bills to try and save their new family member. Unfortunatly though, because Parvo kills more than 90% of infected dogs, even heroic medical intervention often leads to heartbreak.

In a press conference, the Border Puppy Task Force brought with them exibit A, a 9 week old confiscated puppy that was so sick they had to pry it's mouth open because it was stuck shut with dried vomit. I would say this is shocking, but with this problem coming from a country where it is fully acceptable to produce more and more human children that they cannot possibly feed or provide proper care for, it really just seems to be par for the course.

The Minute Men project brought the flower-power brigade of left-wing human rights hippies out in droves. The PETA people are crying foul if you dare eat fowl. But here we are when a country like Mexico knowingly breeds and smuggles in sick puppies to be sold to unsuspecting big hearted Americans, all we hear is the deafening silence of liberal hypocrisy.

Looks to me like Mexico's finger (and tail) wagging top dog, is himself nothing more that a miserable mangy mutt.

Hey T L you really hit the nail on the head with that post. I have lived no more than a few hours drive from the border most of my life. The immigration problem is ridiculous. This animal imigration story is a new one to me. Very sad indeed. What is even more sad is the immigrants who make it across the border ALSO have children that they can't afford to support. Being in San Diego county I am sure you have seen the immigrant women pushing the double stroller while 4 small children follow her down the street. This family can't support all those children. Why do they keep having them? I see it everyday and it makes me sad, but they shouldn't keep having kids they can't support and then expect everyone else to pay their medical bills. Outrageous. I believe that is just as inhuman as the puppy situation. PLEASE PEOPLE FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR FAMILY DONT HAVE CHILDREN THAT YOU CAN'T SUPPORT! Hey T L you must be happy about the mayor elections though right?

Greetings,

Interesting criticisms coming from the president of a virtual anarchy state run by drug lords.

I wonder if peta would be interested in manning the border in light of this new discovery about puppies?
