Ladies and Gentlemen, what we just heard was a GREAT president. I know I had been waivering on my opinion of Mr. Bush. Let me just say that I now remember why he is TRULY a great man. I respected his honesty and his willingness to stand up to the arrogant snot-nosed weeenie reporters who kept badgering him about the NSA program, and other issues. More than that, he steadfastly refused to give any examples of why the NSA program was needed, because it obviously would have damaged our security.
I also liked how he said that it was "inexcuseable" that the senate did not renew the Patriot Act. I especially liked how he said "I want the senators from New York, Los Angelas, and Las Vegas to go home and tell their people why they are safer now."
I am SO glad I heard that. Anyone else have any thoughts?

During the press conference today Bush called the leak of the National Security Agency's eavesdropping program, first reported in The New York Times last Thursday, as a "shameful act" disclosed in a time of war.
I want to go one step beyond this and say its an act of treason. WE ARE AT WAR! What is the difference on reporting on this and reporting on how easy it is to make a bomb to strap to you chest. I am so tired of the bloodthirsty journalists in this country. It is time for the White House to start taking names and getting these treasonous ====s to account for what they are doing.
Bush also blasted those senators who held up reauthorization of 16 expiring provisions of the Patriot Act on Friday. Although those senators who filibustered the reauthorization and prevented a vote on them were in the minority, some Republicans were part of that group.
They seriously need to get rid of that damn filibuster. The gang of 14 seemed like a good idea at the time on the nomination of Roberts but now I think it was a terrible idea and a bow to the cry baby Democrats.
"These senators need to explain why they thought the Patriot Act was a vital tool after the Sept. 11 attacks but now feel it's no longer necessary," Bush said, adding that the filibustering lawmakers "must stop their delaying tactics."
I think Bush is on to something here. These political snakes can not deal with straight talk. If you pose a public question to them it will be shown they have no answer.
Keep going hard Mr. President and don't back down. Your opinion polls will mean nothing 25 years from now when people look back and are FORCED to see what a shining light of hope you were in dark days. We ARE and WILL BE on the rightside of history when all is said and done.

I'm loving it WJ. Awesome post. President Bush needs to start kicking ass and taking names. This is absolute nonsense, I love that line he said today:
I especially liked how he said "I want the senators from New York, Los Angelas, and Las Vegas to go home and tell their people why they are safer now."
Keep going Mr. President, I'm with you all the way.
