Mexican School History Text Books in Our Schools

I heard over the news, that American history text books are made in Mexico. The text books give their version of our own history. It teaches them that the Mexican/American war was illegal, among other things.

When I go out to restuarants, grocery stores, or any other place, here in L.A, they are speaking Spanish to each other, many do speak only a few English words to get by. I feel like I'm living in Mexico.

The other day, my neighbor wanted new kitchen cabinets, she had a guy over from a reputable company, who only knew a few words in English. She asked me to translate for her. She told me that she asked him, why don't you learn to speak English, he answered her like this...WHY YOU NO LEARN SPANISH?

I wish I knew more details about how did those Mexican text books ever ended up in our schools. Sounds like we are losing America to them without a war.

I did read some time ago, that this is spreading through out the United States.

Why are we allowing this to happen? My parents were immigrants, they taught me that speaking another language to each other, in front of others was very rude.

MC, while I agree with you that everyone here should learn English... How do you propose to enforce it?

Bumblebee, I don't think that is true. There may be some textbooks made in Mexico, but my own school expirience says otherwise. All of my textbooks are made in the USA, even my Spanish book. If a child has a distorted view on history, don't blame the book, blame the teacher. Also I'd add, for these books, they might just be manufactured in Mexico, all of contents are created by American Education orginizations.
And that Spanish speaking man is an asshole. If I went to Mexico, I wouldn't exepct everyone there to learn English just to suit me.

Lets see...

Remove spanish signs.
Remove spanish subheaders on everything.
Basically make it impossible to live here without speaking English.
OK... How do you enforece these? Companies that have signs that translate into Spanish don't do so because the government tells them to. They do it because they want more bussiness traffic, even from Spanish speaking people. Government doesn't have complete power, so they don't have the authority to tell airlines, and bussiness buildings to take down these signs.
So... How is the government going to enforce this?

The books even reads; "THIS IS MY MEXICO." They showed an American school room, with the book in which it read that, to little Mexican kids. They also say things like America is a DISASTER! I missed somethng negative about our FLAG!

The Mexicans gave an excuse that they don't want their Mexican kids to lose their ROOTS!

This is another topic that makes me sick.

They want the handouts and the benefits of being an American without all the "strings" like SPEAKING THE NATIVE LANGUAGE. I think companies should be allowed and should discriminate against someone who cant speak English. Theres a simple solution... you come here you learn and speak ENGLISH dont tell someone to learn spanish you ignorant fool.

Yes, well, I guess I didn't help much, I went ahead and translated for her.
I did ask him before she made any deal, to send English speaking workmen. She really should have called the company. It's that these things, no matter how much I see, leaves me speechless.

I live in Germany. Hello everyone.

As most of you should know, we had a huge influx of Arab immigration as part of our economic boom of the 1960s: Guest workers were invited to work for good money, and expected to leave afterwards. They didn't, and instead they have an average family size of 3.9 children per family - if birth rates continue the way they are now, Germans will be the minority in their own country in 2020.

Anyway, I am not a nationalist. I respect my own country. I have no problems with immigrants that integrate themselves into our society, adapt to our laws and rules - they can import their culture. It's nice to have a chinese, turkish, and greek restaurant down the road.

The problem, however, is that (almost exclusively muslims) many of our immigrants do not integrate. We blow so much taxpayer's money at "integration programs," because we feel indebted after our dark history.

But they don't want to integrate. Every day I walk down the street, and only hear Turkish. I've been living in Germany (after spending 7 years in the United States) for one year now - my friends say I have adopted an Arab accent, and I can insult people in 3 different languages.

It pains and sickens me - Turkish is the new language down the road. And most of these Arabs are racist as hell (kind of paradoxial, that statement, I know): Me and friends wanted to sit down in a Turkish restaurant, and although all tables were empty, the Turk said "Oh no, we're full." - 20 seconds later, a group of Arabs was let in.

Most important is the gang violence - ever since my town, a traditional German, Christian, town, was infiltrated by this Arab disease, crime is growing exponentially: Daily, women and girls get raped, Germans are beat up because they are Christian, and I've had more Islamist words hurled at me than I can count on my hands and feet.

And what do the politicians do? Close their eyes!

Half a year ago, an illegal immigrant verbally attacked a German for being Christian - the guy got a Skinhead friend to beat the immigrant up. The guy got paralyzed from the waist down. For 5 days, we had moments of silence in school - the media blew it out of proportion, creating fears of another "radicalization of the right", and another round of conservative parties were scrutinized (among them the German Republican Party www.rep.de). The major rubbed ash over his chest as a symbol of protest and resistance.

A couple of days ago, to give a fresh example of what happens almost daily, two Arabs nearly beat a German to death after hurling islamist and muslim quoran verses at him.

Nothing. The story didn't even make front page.

I am doing all I can to get a scholarship to get out of this fascist country. I don't have anything AT ALL against Blacks, Jews, or people of any color, ethnicity or religion - except the Arabs. Their continued dictatorship of my friends, my country, coupled with the events of September 11th, I am disgusted. - I hope I do not offend any African Americans when I say "==== these sand======s!"

15 Schools were forced to adopt Islamic Religion classes - while crosses remain banned from schools. My dad, a teacher, had to organize an entire new set of sports and swim classes for Muslims, because they "refuse to bathe with infidels".

Why is the state putting up with this bullshit? I am ====ing sick and tired of it.

All FIFA-World Cup stores are forced to sell both the German, as well as the Turkish flag, to "appease our social minorities." Minorities? Hardly! Stuttgart is 50% Foreigners, and among that other 50% of Germans, at least half are the first filial generation in Germany.
