Greetings,

I find the no-WMD's statement to be somewhat misleading, in that it does not address the presence of materials used to make such weapons, nor the capacity and know-how needed to make them.

I understand that there was a significant stockpile of nuclear material in various spots in Iraq, such as this:

http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/07/07/iraq.nuclear/

As far as I am concerned, the presence of a UN sticker or seal on the nuclear material, or its location in a facility that is ostensibly meant for peaceful purposes is immaterial. We know that hussein was in open defiance of the UN. We also know that he had little regard for children (human shields) or schools (storage for weapons and what not), or other sorts of 'peaceful' structures such as hospitals.

In light of the September 11 attacks, there were certainly plenty of puzzle pieces that fit to oust hussein. Does anyone here believe that saddam would have thought twice about selling off some of this material to terrorists?

Who is really out on a limb here?

Greetings (again),

As for me, I was not aware that such a feature even exists! I don't receive E-mails, but it sounds like a nifty tool for those who post frequently on the forum.

But why would you want to get over a hundred e-mails a day everytime someone posted? I just log in and check the "new posts" area...

well i never receive that many. its just strange it started to work. myself i like it. the email feature allows you to receive a reply in a timely manner. its a time saver. you no longer have to do a manual search for post or replys. my opinion. reply to this if you dont mind. i would like to see if it was just a fluke.

So....

In regards to what I posted earlier... Does the presence of nuclear materials and the capacity and capability to turn such into weapons count, or should we have had to wait until a nuclear ICBM was half-way across the Atlantic headed for Salina, KS before we declared saddam to have nukes and the will to use them against us. Did we have to wait for a dirty bomb to go off in the New York subway system which consisted of nuclear material sold to terrorists from saddam to declare him an enemy?

I don't think so.
