ARLINGTON, Texas -- A woman found evidence on her porch that someone might have broken into her house when she let her dogs out for a walk early Wednesday morning. The woman's granddaughter also said she heard noises from inside the house.
Susan Gaylord Buxton, 66, retrieved her .38 caliber handgun and searched her house. She found a man hiding in a closet, covered by a coat.

If she was living in San Fransisco, she and her granddaughter would be dead or hurt badly. How can liberals argue with this. Thomas Paine once said, "Common Sense."

The dreaded truth reveiled. This must be giving Liberals nightmares.
"He could have done something horrible my granddaughter and me. That's exactly the reason you need to learn how to handle (a firearm) and keep it with you."

And thus guns saved her and her grandaughter's life. Libs will blast this woman for not calling the police, even though she had no time to call the cops because she would've been dead by the time they got there. That is why I'm getting a gun as soon as legally possible, and no gun-bans are going to separate me from my lifeline. Nothing says, "Don't even F***ing think about it (concerning rape, in a woman's case; theft, planned murder, or beating) like a barrel pointed at the oncoming offender.

She was on the phone with them when the man attacked her and she had to shoot him. I believe she said he was close enough that she was able to aim at his leg and shoot him there, rather than in the chest.

do you know if she had a warning system in her house, like Brink or something?

My parents live out in the country, so if something happened and they had to call 911, it would take a cop about 10 minutes to get to them. Lots of things could happen in 10 minutes. This is why my dad has guns. If you have to wait 10+ minutes for help to arrive, then you gotta help yourself.
I am going to buy a gun here soon and learn how to shoot it.

do you know if she had a warning system in her house, like Brink or something? She said they were looking around their house because they heard noises. So I would assume she doesn't have one, unless they only turn on the alarm when they're out.

This is a prime example of gun control. If she was not allowed a gun like what they are doing in San Francisco then she could have been seriously harmed along with her 28 year old granddaughter who was with her at the time, if it was not for her gun use.
