Protestors in Jordan calling for amoung other things the destruction of Abu Musab Al Zarqawi
Opponents of the war in Iraq, left wing extremists, and the "Blame America First" crowd, are starting to feel a small tremor right now. They're not sure what it means, but they're feeling it in the very foundation of their belief structure.
A day after the terror attack in Jordan, in which 33 of the 47 deaths were Jordanian, the people of Jordan rose up and set in motion, what just might be, the beginning of the end of Al Queda as we know it, and the groups I just mentioned are nervous.
Since the beginning of the war on terror, the left wing extremists have been vocal about how this entire action in the Middle East (ME) is a bad thing, that it makes the US less safe, and that it's breeding hatred in the ME. Apparently this is not the case.
In four years there has not been one terror attack on US Soil
The only attacks that have occured have taken place in the ME, precisely where President Bush said that he want this battle to take place
In addition to Iraq citizens hauling out their own arms and killing insurgents that happen to appear in their neighborhoods, we now see Jordanian's vocally condemning Zarqawi and his band of merry men.
Jordan has seen what most level headed citizens of this world already know, that it there is no enemy of Al Queda (AQ) other than those who do not share AQ's desire to return to the 16th century, this INCLUDES progressive Muslim States, like Jordan.
For anyone to suggest that this 'jihad' being waged by Zarqawi is being waged on behalf of Iraqi's or oppressed Muslim's is absolute stupidity. For that someone to further suggest that there is sweeping support by Muslim's for Zarqawi is more stupidity, the action by AQ in Jordan is de facto evidence of this.
It's a pity that the lunacy of the left wing on this planet indirectly supports the actions of organizations like AQ, unfortunately we're stuck with them for now. However, those of us that have our heads screwed on the right way need to look at the developements in Jordan, most noteably the protestors who came up with such gems of a chant like "Burn in Hell, Zarqawi", and realise that despite the constant shrillness from the left 'demonstrating' the manner in which we have 'alienated' the rest of the world, that this is in fact not the case.
The fact is that support for AQ is fading amoung ME states. Were this not so, the number of brave soldiers who have lost thier lives would be ten times worse.
