Does anyone recall the recent uproar by the left over Bill Bennet's comments about abortion and the black population? Yes, we heard plenty about that did'nt we? Demands for apologies etc. from the liberals for a comparrison that was unfairly taken out of context.

Over the weekend Democratic leader Howard Dean appeared on Hardball. Host Chris Matthews asked if Dean believed the president could claim executive privelage for his Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers.

Dean replied:
"Well, certainly the president can claim executive privelage. but in the this case, I think with a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court, you can't play, you know, HIDE THE SALAMI, or whatever it's called. He's got to go out there saying something about this woman who's going to a 20 or 30-year appointment, a 20 or 30-year appointment to influence America. We deserve to know something about her."

Where is the outrage? Where are the women's groups? Is'nt N.O.W going to demand a retraction or call in the Salami Police for this blatant sexist remark? No, not a peep. Former peanut farmer boot licker Chris Matthews just let the comment slip by unchallenged. Had a Republican made a similar comment about Hillary's hidden hot dog it would be all over the news. But the leader of the liberals says it and gets a hall pass. Pathetic.

Where is the outrage? Where are the women's groups?
Possible liberal answer: "Well, you see, Howard Dean didn't mean it, Bush is a Nazi."
Possible conservative follow-up: "um maam, what does insulting the president have to do with what we're talking about."
Possible liberal follow-up: "well Bush has contracted with Halliburton and the oil companies to set up concentration camps for women"
"um maam, we are supposed to be talking about why no one is criticizing Howard Dean for making a sexist remark."
"Well you are obviously working for the right wing conspiracy."

Some BS like that will be what the womens groups say about this. Here's what I've come to find with liberals like this: If a Republican does it, it's unacceptable, if a liberal does it, it's OK, he's just expressing himself.

Actual liberal answer (if you can call me a liberal. I have the feeling I'm more conservative than half the "conservatives" on this site): Howard Dean butchered a cliche. He's not very smart and definitely not quick on his feet. Oh, yeah, and Bush isn't a Nazi.

I wouldn't call you a liberal Count, you're more of a conservative Democrat. And my "possible liberal answer" quote was supposed to illustrate some of the stupid arguments that come out of extremists like Howard Dean. So now I will have to change it from "possible liberal answer" to "possible liberal extremist Michael Moore-like answer" so that I don't confuse anyone.
