I am staying in Japan atm and I just found out that you even need to have a special permit/license to have a pellet weapon. Yet if you have the money you can get a weapon from your local yakuza office/organization. Its a disarmed populace that is confronted with growing crime and incompetent police.

Recently I saw on a NHK News program about how someone had modified an airsoft weapon to fire metal projectiles and how dangerous it is. All the laws here to control weapons are ridiculous. Yet everyone here is wondering why the crime rate is increasing.

I cant wait to get back home, this place is messed up!!!

Japan has traditionally had little problem with criminals because of the way they handle them.
In Japan, if one is found guilty of a crime they are often disowned by the family, lose all licenses they once held, lose their job and are black balled for life.
However, Japan has also traditionally had a BIG problem with corruption. There are large amounts of corruption in many areas of the Japanese government and business, and there is little desire to prosecute people on it. As my wife put it quite nicely:

"You don't have to worry about losing your life in Japan so much as losing your life savings."

your local yakuza office/organization

And here I was thinking the yakuza was a secret society.

Turns out it's a local union hall.
