Liberalism in Europe's effect on the USA

I went to school in England for a year in 03-04 and was amazed by the digusting amount of liberalism and political correctness there. The U.K. has become a breeding ground for liberals and liberal sympathizers who think the world can just magically become this happy place full of harmony among the races. They're so concerned with not wanting to be labeled racist that they're allowing their country to be overrun by immigrants who will serve no useful purpose other than being a drain on the economy making life harder and more expensive for the people that work. PC has gone extremely overboard there. We think it's bad here in the US sometimes (which it is) but it's 10 times worse in the England. You can't even order a "black coffee" at a restaurant because it might offend certain races. You have to order it "without milk." No joke! I worked at a children's hospital when I was there and I was stunned by all of the immigrant families that could just come into the country and be given handouts and free healthcare. The whole country receives free basic healthcare, but it's crazy that all of these immigrants can get it as well simply because they are "asylum-seekers." I was only covered for emergencies as a visting student. It took a lot of paperwork and time to set up the whole program for me to participate as a student there, but these immigrants can just walk right in and be handed everything. It's silly that there are all of these natural british people there that are being ignored because the country's too worried about placating a bunch of people that basically have no right or reason to be there in the first place. The way I see it if they all can move there on a free ride then I should definitely be able to immigrate there if I wanted to, being that I am of direct british descent. But of course it doesn't work that way. The immigration problems in Europe are much more noticeable because their countries are smaller and it's much harder to avoid the issue, but here in the US we still have many conservative people who believe in what this country was founded upon. What will happen if we continue to elect liberal officials and continue to keep the flood gates open to damn near any foreigner who feels like coming in and draining our economy. Liberals, the ones who defend foreigners and immigrants so passionately, want to bitch and moan about the economy being so bad, but who do they think it is destroying it? It's in large due to all of the foreigners who come over and are given loans to start new business when we ignore natural citizens who wish to become entrepreneurs. This thread is basically just a general rant I suppose, but I believe it holds validity and I think many will agree with me.

I'm not sure if I count as young, I am 26. I can tell you that among my age group (later GEN-X crowd) there are a whole hell of a lot of conservatives. I would say we even outnumber the libs by a solid 1.5 to 1. Even in college (5 years ago) I was not in the minority! I am not sure if it's due to my geographic location (Colorado Springs, widely reported on liberal news media as the conservative capitol of the U.S.) but either way, it's refreshing to be around.

I am constantly seeing bumber stickers that say things like "gun control is using both hands" and "liberals suck." I think we are at a turning point. They say that political opinion is like a pendulum, but I think that when it swings to the right, the whole threshold is brought more towards the center. The radical left is being exposed, and will soon collapse under its own stupidity! (OK, rant over lol)

I've read the PC horror stories from across the pond. It's good to hear it from someone who's been there. My question to you is, are there any nationalistic pro-Britian people left over there? The liberals can't possibly have a monopoly on political thought (I hope).

BTW, can you still ask for "white milk" in Britain?

well i would probabbly assume taht most all milk is white anyways. i would be kind of scared to drink it if it was any other color. But i realize that you are jsut joking.

Are you sure about that? I went to England, but only stayed a week. Their coffee is really good and it's mostly served with cream or milk. How did you find out it would offend by saying black? The English do talk a little different then Americans.

To answer your question Bumblebee........when I was living in England I was with a friend who was buying a new car and while we were waiting for the paper work to be finished the saleswoman asked if we'd like some coffee and I replied that I would have just plain black coffee and she said "oh sorry, I'm not aloud to say that because it might be offensive." She then told me I had to ask for it "without milk" rather calling it "black" so as to not offend anyone of a certain race. This is no joke. Actually, my kids prefer chocolate milk to regular milk, so they refer to the regular stuff as "white milk". Lots of people's kids I know do. Of course I was joking, but I was partially serious.

Liberalism is invading everywhere It goes to show you the world is full of simple minded individuals who cant see beyond there own follies and a T.V. or newspaper. It’s a really scare epidemic a lot of people think peace comes with raising a white flag but in truth its fought through courage and honor. Liberalism is a mental disorder.

I tried telling them that but then they asked where strawberry milk comes from and I didn't think I could keep it up much longer. I didn't think I could convince them of the existence of red cows.
