Ok, so the title is the best way to explain this idea I just had.


On both conservative and liberal boards I hear some of you talking about the desire to eliminate (kill) those with opposing political views...


My question is.... if I were to buy like 100,000 acres in montana and let people from both sides, far right and far left, have a shootout... would any of you come?

I'm thinking in a purely hypothetical situation here.... money where your mouth is....

If I could get everyone on the fringe edges of left and right to shoot one another, I think this would be a better country....we could televise the whole thing, and have a big price for the last man standing.

Is that what you all really mean when I hear "I'd love to just nuke every god damned commy liberal"

Or are you just being figurative?

Although we may joke about it, I'm sure nobody wants to literally kill Hillary Clinton, or other liberals for that matter.

Well, thats my point basiclly... but I learend at an early age it's in poor taste, inapproriate in the extreme, and just plan offensive to joke about killing someone.

If you even joke about killing certain people you can go to jail... but it's ok to joke about killing other people?

Isn't that a double standard?

Why would jesus want to kill people? Is it because His followers may support the war. There are many christians who do support the war and many who do not. You said it was in poor taste to joke about killing; well you just proved it.

Yep....

That's my standard comeback when I hear someone say "Oh, we should just kill all the <insert target group>"

Unless they're not christians, than I just roll my eyes and say "I think we should kill you"

death, murder, killing... not thinks to joke about.

How about other murderers and sex offenders? Is it OK to exterminate them? If so, who gets to do it?
