Hello, I did not follow instructions and I just started posting the other day. I never did the newbie thing, sorry. So here it is:
I am new to this site. I am living just outside Portland Oregon. That's right, Yuck. Its what the Bush's have always called "little Lebanon".
I work in an interesting field as a contractor, I visit many MANY Portland homes a week. It is definitely Lib-ville. I blend in and gather info like a spy, well that's what I feel like anyways. :icon_conf But I bet I know my enemies better than they know me.
Never mind the user name, long story, deal with it.
I like Guns. A well maintained gun might save your life someday, or more importantly, save your loved ones life. Lets leave the Constitution alone, this part definitely works.
I like good beer (thick stuff with things floating in it!) not that watered down crap in a silver can. Stuff you can make a meal out of. I am going to make my own beer someday, what a day it will be.
I belong to neither Big Party. I am independent, I believe in common sense and morals. Its a good way to make a decision. I don't think you need Religion or a Lawyer to make the right choice. (not hacking on religion)
Thanks, I look forward to visiting this place allot.

Welcome to the site. You have to admit though, while the politics in Oregon sucks, the country is beautiful. LOVE all those trees. Born and bred Washingtonian here.

I wanna go home, I wanna go home, oh how I wanna go home.

Agree Hawaii, but The Teton's? Obviously you've never been to Alaska.

You have to hike allot to really see the Tetons I think. Cant see the good stuff from the road. I heard Alaska is awesome, I may have the chance to work there on occasion and I cant wait!

All of Alaska is awesome. Southeast Alaska in out of this world, especially if you have the opportunity to take some of the seldom traveled waterways. Incredible scenery.

One thing about CT is that you can't see more than a few hundred feet until you run into a tree, hill, mountain, or building. There are very few vast expanse views to be had here, which is why I appreciate other areas of the country (particularly AZ and NM).

Of course, when I go into the heartland, I feel land-locked.

Hey Andy, good to see I'm not alone here :) Darn Republicrats

So how's this: I was Born in Albuquerque, grew up (6-19) in Hawaii (Bigisland both sides) and now I live in Albuquerque again with a brief stint in Warner Robins, GA.

Prietiest place I've been to is Frasier Island, Australia, after that is Waipio Valley, on the Big Island.

Glass blowing is cool. I want to check that out some day. I'm not very art-sie but I always thought I would enjoy it. There is really awesome special on PBS High Definition that shows that crazy one eyed guy from Washington doing all sorts of bizarre glass. I think they went around the world doing displays but blowing glass on location with local shops. Very-very cool.
