Does anyone know anything about Tom Tancredo, good or bad? Possibly a 2008 White House bid?

I don't know much about him, but I like his stance on Illegal Immigration, and his hawkish stance against terrorists isn't bad either. And his unapolagetic rejection of political correctness is a refreshing change from our 'conservative' leadership(George 'jobs Americans don't want' Bush). The illegal immigration issue could decide the '08 election, and he looks good on that issue.

I believe he is a R-Rep from Colorado who statement was to "Nuke Mecca". I don't know if the MSM mixed up his words or not.

Well, what if you said something like -- if [a nuclear attack] happens in the United States, and we determine that it is the result of extremist, fundamentalist Muslims, you know, you could take out their holy sites

This is what I found. http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/07/18/congressman.muslims.ap/

I read about that statement a few days ago. It's no different than the Ward Chuchhill thing, though, except that Ward is not a Repub.

Tancredo is being attacked not only for his politically incorrect statements about nuking Mecca, but also because he is calling for Congress to be informed as to what the intelligence community knows about AQ having nukes here. Full disclosure will reveal that the nukes and the technology, came from Russia. Disclosure will reveal that the nukes are protected by permissive action codes known only to the Russian president and the chief of the Russian General Staff.
