Introduction

So, my first question is: Am I welcome here?

The reason I ask is because I'm an Independant, and I have more questions than answers right now. I'm looking for answers all around, left and right, extreme and moderate.

Anyways, to my introduction... I'll keep it brief.

My name is Doug, I'm 27 years old, I live in New Mexico.

Besides paying way too much attention to politics and the media, my other hobbies are blowing glass and shooting my new AR-15.

I started off life thinking I'd probably be Liberal, but since I turned 18 and started paying attention to things I've moved into such a far off place that it's no where near left or right.

Anyways, despite it all, I enjoy a good debate (re: Rational argument, logical discussion, no anger, no hate, constructive dialog, no assumptive arguments or statements, etc...)


Anyways... that's me, and I hope you all will give me a shot here, even if my views aren't always running parallel to your own at all times (but you'll see, sometimes, often even, we'll see eye to eye)

Being an Independent won't keep you from being welcome. We even let Liberals who behave themselves post here. We're aren't like the liberal forums who ban anyone out of step with their ideology.

Well, seeing as how I'm looking to add an AR-15 to my collection, you might make me envious, but it sounds like you'll fit in fine. Read the rules in the forum and I think you'll find they pretty much echo what you are looking for.

I think you found the right place to learn about many different thoughts and ideas here. You will also be kept up to date on news that are usually biased, and will learn the truth that many here provide with different links to the facts. You will hear from liberals and see the difference in their way of thinking.
