I really don't know much about the situation, but apparently some moron had a shoot out with the LAPD and used his own child as a human sheild, and suprise! The kid got shot. Now there is some nut case liberal lawyer who's trying to pitch a fit about how trigger-happy thr cops are and that they are just trying to keep down the minority. I hate liberals.

I read about the guy that shot his 19 month old daughter in the head. He also shot one of our law enforcement officers. I read how he was shooting through the walls at our law enforcement officers and relishing that they had restraint and could not return such indescriminate fire for sake of his young innocent hostage. The people voicing opinions that aim to criminalize these officers should be placed in a crematorium hastily.

Did the liberal lawyer say anything about the guy who used his kid as a human shield? Or does he get a free pass? You said he's a minority, so I guess that answers my question.

because if they guy shot the kid in the head...im pretty sure the kid was already dead as he used him/her as a shield.

They don't know. The cops shot the guy, but there was shooting going on through the walls, and when they went in and found him, the kid was dead too. Lots of people say that the cops did it, but they haven't figured it out yet (they need to see if the bullet matches up with his gun or one of the cops')

Both the child and the guy were killed. An officer was wounded. They are still trying to determine if it was an officers bullet that killed the girl.

It is truly a very sad story, but if the guy was shooting at cops and others lives were in danger, the fault of the death is the father, not the cops. Are the cops supposed to let this guy shoot at them and risk having several other people killed to save the child? What a horrible call to have to make. But, I think you have to take the guy out and do what you can to save the child. In this case, the child was killed and everyone will feel horrible about that. But have you saved anything if several others are killed in an attempt to save the child?

This should give us all a sense of the horrible decision an officer would have to make in that situation. I certainly wouldn't want to be in that position.

It is sad that had to happen. I really don't think the Cops were aiming for the baby. They fired a total of 90 rounds from what I heard so a bullet was bound to hit the baby and the father using the baby as a human shield.

I notice another thing the mother or cousin I am not sure didn’t even know how to speak English, do they even know if they are illegal immigrants or not?

This may seem insensitive toward the unfortunate loss of the innocent baby, but; how is this piece of shit entitled to cost our society 90 bullets?

He had threatened to kill his step-daughter and her mother (probably because he was drunk and high on coke), so the step-daughter called 911. When the cops showed up, he started firing at them.

His wife and brother are saying that the cops should have been more "patient." How patient are you gonna be when you have a drugged up loony with a gun shooting at you?

That's actually one of the weird things about this whole situation...LA and all the cities close to it are made up of minorites. White is the minority now. As Riverman said, and I agree, political correctenss is ruining our nation. We are going to politically correct ourselves into a grave.

When the cops don't show up, they're ignoring the needy. When they do, they're murderers. It must be hard to be cop.
