For all you Verizon Customers, the wait is over . . . . . .
The wait is over. Verizon Wireless said Tuesday it will begin selling Apple's iPhone early next month, ending AT&T's four-year run as the phone's exclusive carrier.
"If the press writes something long enough and hard enough, it eventually comes true," Verizon President Lowell McAdam said at a press conference in New York City. "We're bringing the fruit of our labor with a giant partner, and that's Apple."

This is good. Anything that will take market share away from google and their hemorrhoid phone, I'm all for it.
The iPhone is amazing. I highly recommend it and AT&T for that matter. The iPhone with Verizon would be great too.

Sorry IHL :( I use a Sprint EVO, and I love it. Wouldnt touch an iphone for the world. Despise both Verizon and AT&T wireless.
Besides, my EVO will do things no iPhone can.

Hey TAR Folks,
If you're using the iPhone, you'll really appreciate this video from the Daily Show .... this sums up all the frustration we have been having with this damn phone for the last few years.

I haven't tried an EVO. What's good about it, and do you really use the features?
Fun features: 8 megapixel camera, 720p 30 fps vid cam, and a 1.3 mp front facing cam for video conferencing. Digital compass. Built in FM tuner, and the ear buds included are fantastic sound quality. 4.3 inch HD screen, and kick stand so I can watch hands free pretty much anywhere. Access to android apps....currently about 100,000. Most of them fluff, but a lot of solid content. Mobile TV (HD), MP3 player....lots more.
The meat n taters: 1Ghz snapdragon processor, 1 gig system ram (standard 512M). 2 Ghz graphics processor. Upgraded mine to 32G mem card. 1G ROM. Operates on Sprint's WiMax 4G network, which was America's first "4G" network. With my 4G connection I get around 6 to 7meg download speeds. Theoretically, WiMax2, which is still in development, has top speeds over 1G/s download. Here's the kicker: my EVO is also a mobile WiFi hotspot (extra 29.99 a month), allowing me to connect up to 8 other devices to the web, at about the same speeds. Comes in VERY handy. Nothing like lettin the kid mess with his laptop while we drive through rush hour traffic while on vacation.
My call plan is also pretty damned good. 69.99 a month before my discount for unlimited cell to cell calls, any carrier (doesnt have to be inside Sprint's network). 450 mins a month for land line/toll free calls. Unlimited data (web) and access to a ton of extra features on Sprint's system (NFL Live is nice). Unlimited texting, and voice to text. Premium data pack, $10 a month, is required for the EVO. Pre discount, with the WiFi, $110 a month. After my discount (certain companies get employee discounts through Sprint) $81 a month. My wife and I are considering getting her a phone similar to mine, same plan (family). Same features, 1500 land line minutes, shared. 129.99 plus 20 for 2 premium data packs, and 30 for the WiFi hotspot. Adding my mother and sister to the plan would be an extra 20 bucks a month each...so $220 a month for four people before the discount, $161 a month after.
