I like either one, frankly. I understand that ihateliberals.com is in a good spirit. However, the other one might be more appealing to those who can't redefine hate for any other purpose, even though libbies are masterful at redefining everything.

If the new name works better, I'm all for it, all though I must admit that it didn't even take a search engine for me to find this site, I just typed it in the URL box and there it was, a real thing of beauty.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind if the Web Forum were renamed to the new name, just as long as as you said, the URL still brought us here. I always type in the URL to get here with pride. :biggrin:

I've brought up this topic before but it looks like it bears repeating. As I state in my "About IHL.com" on the main page - this site isn't about hate. It started off as a bit of a joke frankly, and just sort of grew into more than I thought it would.

Since it started, the word 'hate' doesn't really describe what I'm trying to do here. I'm trying to point out the dangers of liberalism. There are certainly times I hate liberals, there is little debate about that but it's usually their misguided and completely illogical ideas that I hate and not usually the person. Although I do make exceptions for Hillary Clinton - I do hate her. So while I'm glad I have the name and plan on keeping it, I'm not sure it really does the site justice in the long run. To those that ask if the name will always resolve here no matter what the 'real name' is - yes, it will. For example, type in www.ihateliberals.com (http://www.ihateliberals.com/), or www.theamericanright.com (http://www.theamericanright.com/) and you'll end up here. For that matter, type in www.stophillaryforpresident.com (http://www.stophillaryforpresident.com/), www.hillarysucks.org (http://www.hillarysucks.org/) or www.truthaboutliberals.com (http://www.truthaboutliberals.com/) and see what happens. :wink:

Unless someone makes it very worth my while financially, I will always keep the name that got this site started. I have had offers to buy the name but nothing serious enough for me to consider it. The odds of it happening are minimal at best.


Yeah, I wouldn't mind if the Web Forum were renamed to the new name, The only problems with changing the name from in the site software, is that it will also change the way search engines find the site so I'll look into that. I'm finally number one on google when doing a 'hate liberals' search and I'd like to keep it that way if I can. And, IHL.com sounds better than TAR.com.

I think you should keep it the same. I would not have found this site if it had a different name. Changing the name to avoid offending someone also kind of defeats the purpose of the site doesn't it?

Yes, you have a point. But it's not so much about offending someone. I'll offend liberals all day long, that doesn't bother me. I'd rather offend them with issues than the name of the site and as I've said before, I think mainstream sites would be reluctant to link to a site with the word hate in it.

I think that It's good that the name of the banner is the American Right, it sort of makes it sound more legit than just an anti-liberal site.

I have mixed feelings about that, simply because it represents a minor capitulation to the liberal tactic of attacking on an issue ancillary to the one at hand.

As I see it, Ihateliberals.com is an affectionate name.

It's all because of changing tastes. Phyllis Diller used to joke about abortions you know!

I like theamericanright...but not as well as Ihateliberals...during last election season after having a liberal try to browbeat me I said "well we'll see what my favorite web sight ihateliberals.com says" and typed it in..poor guy came unglued for a couple of minutes after seeing there was such a site.. thought I hadto defend myself for a second but the look on his face was worth it.--AAK
