I don't know what you guys think about Saddam Hussein sucking up to us all of a sudden, but I find it quite entertaining. It reminds me of the South Park Saddam that has a relationship with Satan. Sadam has reportedly told soldiers that guard his cell how to find a "good" woman, told them jokes, and also said he wanted to make "friends" with Bush, he also tells soldiers that he will invite them to his palace "when" he rises back to power in Iraq. He still expects royal treatment like he's some kind of Hollywood celebrity. What a joke.

im sure he is just trying to make the best out of his situation by having a little fun with the guards.

Saddam Hussein is a clean freak who likes to impart love advice, his jailers have revealed. Specialist Sean O'Shea, 19, who guarded the ex-dictator for nine months at a secret location between 2003 and 2004, told American GQ: "He just started telling me what to do. He was like, 'You gotta find a good woman. Not too smart, not too dumb. Not too old, not too young. In the middle. One that can cook and clean." The US soldier revealed that Saddam once implied that he kept women in line by spanking them. Saddam's other pastimes include compulsively washing his own clothes and eating Raisin Bran Crunch cereal and nachos. (GQ)

I think Sadam is trying to get bail on good behaiver, yea right like that will ever happen for him. I can see him now if the gaurd and sadams situation would be reversed he would be exucting him right now, I would personly beat the f**k out of him for all the evil things that guys had done.

haha he's doin it wrong. he needs to ask for a copy of Koran, flush it down his toilet, start talking about the camels in his cell (insanity), and play the race card and the libs of the country will have him back on the street in a couple years.

Right now he's talking about being rich and being a womanizer. that won't get you out of jail. you gotta suck up to the butch ladies and bleeding heart libs to get outta jail.

This article in GQ is EXACTLY the reason why Saddam must be tried in Iraq and not the Hague.

The Iraqi are the one's that have suffered under him, and they are the one's that understand exactly what kind of a monster he is. Definately not some liberal German/French/Russian judge who's only experience with Saddam would be kick backs from the oil for food program.

Saddam is quintessentially the wizard of oz, in that this 'fearsome' dictator is nothing more than a worm. I expect that he feels his own end comming, and that he is trying to apease his conscience, by being nice to the guards.

Saddam was trying to befriend his captors it is a method of intimidation. Gain their trust and use them and the liberal media is just trying to humanize Saddam before the trial.

How does one humanize somebody who is already a human? Like it or not Saddam is more than just dictator and a murderer. He is not a one-dimensional bad guy in some comic book who does nothing besides be evil.

Does this change the fact that he is an out-of-power maniacal dictator who needs to answer for his crimes? Absolutely not.

Look at how the media is trying to make Saddam look like a good guy. Saddam is a brutal dictator who committed countless atrocities (some he committed with his own hands) and people have the nerve to play him up as a regular guy? That would be like the media in the 1940s galavating about how cool Hitler is.

Actually, I don't think you can compare Hussein to Hitler. Hitler was way worse. You should know know how easy it is to get in trouble by comparing modern history to World War II history.

They are not making him out to look like a regular guy either. All they are doing is reporting on what he's done since being captured. If the story goes that he is eating doritos, trying to befriend guards, giving advice about women, etc., than that's how the media will report it.

I think the genocide numbers are around the same, I think it's fair to compare the two, I mean they both wanted to kill a race. Plus Saddam was in control for more years, which might put him over the top. Remember Saddam started killing for the Ba'ath party since he was 20.

that's right, but the sunni's or shiite's or whatever group it is doesn't have as much sway on the world as the jews. now i support israel fully and i don't want that to come off anti-semetic, but i'm just stating the fact that as a people group they isolated to the middle east region for the most part and have not gotten the global visibility of the jews. Plus we saved the world that was pretty much already taken over at the time. Here we were being preventitive and trying to stop a WWIII situation before it started. There haven't been any films about the IRAQI death camps, but if and when they appear those people groups might get a little more visibility. Also the libs just plain don't wanna give W. any credit for removing a harsh, hateful dictator.

Ah yes. Nachos. The universal language of men. No matter our differences we all enjoy the nachos.

All hail nachos!

Yep, a year in jail and he's still trying to pull strings. What a phoney. Just remember when we are entertained by his idiotic activities in jail, that he is a heartless murdering bastard with absolutely no concern for any life other than his own. I think we should feed him through a paper shredder feet first.

You have to remember, although he was a brutal dictator who killed his own people, he is still a human who has other thoughts and interests than murder.
