The city council decided last month to remove the flag from above the monument in Central Park after a resident complained, and after city leaders got letters from the American Civil Liberties Union and Americans United for the Separation of Church and State urging them to remove it. Now, what I would do - - is fight them under the premise that having the flag is not in violation of the seperation of church and state...
The state is NOT ruling from the bible, and I would ask whats next??? Our churches?? and as evidence the state is not ruling from the bible, you do not see anyone being punished for their sins!!

... all though the ACLU has won some here, they know they may lose some, which is something they KNOW most states wont do..FIGHT THEM...w3hat you see is states bowing to them, in ga, and a handfull of other states, we dont bow - I wish I could go to NC and help them in their defense..and one MUST doubt a resident complained with them, and their not ''creating'' the victim under Amicus briefs

A state need merely develope precedent against these rulings for the ACLU to leave them the F alone! Allthough states dont create enough of their own precedent ocasionaly, we do..These are the cases everyone hears about-:icon_mrgr

PS- only our president Bows :(( bowing wasnt intended to be the states job...and I hope who ever ga elects for our new govoner, that he feels that our state should not start!

Do you think that Muslim groups should be able to put up a flag in the park? Jews? Hindus? Wiccans? Atheists? Satanists?

Yamaha: Are they represented in that park? If so, then yes, they should.

yamaha- Its a bit early for me to give the MOST thoughtfull answer, so I may come back and edit this later-

BUT, in America we're supposed to have a govt representative of ourselves- did you read the article? The people, not even the town had problems with the flag, only the ACLU did- FIRST AND FOREMOST-

Then signs of christianity, crosses, churches, or even christains themself - ARE NOT in violation of seperation of church and state- and as much as you think I dont like muslims, IT ISNT TRUE-
I dont mind seeing signs of they religion...Seems like EVERYONE, minds seeing signs of christiasnity though- especially the ACLU

A violation of this seperation would lead to people being punished for sins, AND THAT IS ALL - Signs of christainity dont violate that-

I think every Christian in that town should put the flag on their cars and houses. It's time for the people to fight back. Run the ACLU out
