Geez Chi....I thought I was clear.. But I'll break it down for you. In a comparison of Kerry's and Bush's grades at Yale you could not resist to drop in a line that "G.W. did rely on daddy to get him where he is today." So I'm wondering specifically how do you propose that daddy Bush influenced W's grades at Yale?? --AAK

Chi, I'm guessing daddy didn't have much to do with the grades. Partying probably had the biggest effect on them.

Wow, I don't think I ever said daddy was responsible for his grades, FDM and AllAmericanKid. Here's where this "daddy" thing got started...
Oh yea I forgot the intellectual liberal rebutal for all this....his daddy did it all for him...please. I reckon daddy Bush fixed SAT scores and made some clone to fly the jets for W.
You said this two more times after this quote, AllAmericanKid. I do not think daddy influenced his grades. When I mentioned "daddy did help him", I was referring to street smarts and not book smarts. Partying like FightinDaMan did is a better reason for them being low and probably what happened.
Now, for The_Mute...
3) Bush was academic[al]ly better then Kerry at Yale.
That's not true. Here's an excerpt from the article I posted that I think people like you have missed.
The Boston Globe reports Kerry had a cumulative average of 76 and got four D's his freshman year. His grades improved and he averaged an 81 his senior year and earned an 89 in political science as a senior.
In 1999, The New Yorker magazine published a transcript showing Bush had a cumulative grade average of 77 his first three years at Yale, and a similar average under a non-numerical rating system his senior year.
Bush's highest grade at Yale was an 88 in anthropology, history and philosophy.
So, from that I would say no one was better academically. Actually, where it counts, Kerry was better. Kerry's grade in political science was an 89 while from the article one can tell that Bush was not close to that percentage at all.

Its an over rated dumba** subject. Its also of little help in the real world of politics and government.

I'll try to make this short. My position on this has always been that Bush even as his grades where not the best they where high enough to maintian eligebility for enrollment and to eventually graduate at Yale. Then I usaully get the rebutal that his daddy was the influence for his enrollment at Yale.
So if you do not think that daddy influenced his grades and that a 76 is adequate to maintain enrollment are we at the least in agreement that Bush made it through Yale on his own account or am I asking too much??
As far as the partying, are you all saying that Bush made just as good of a grade drunk as kerry did sober? sorry just had to get that jab in :icon_mrgr --AAK
all the articles ive read say he raised his grades. and they all say he got one 89...bush got 3 88's. doesnt matter.
the whole point of this isnt that bush is smarter. its that the liberals tricked everyone that voted for kerry into thinking kerry was a more intelligent candidate. they are liars, criminals, crooks, immoral, bad people. i would be extremely pissed if bush hadnt have won the election.
75% of college students in america im will to bet (just based on my experience at a large university) voted for kerry based on the simple fact that they all thought bush was stupid. (actually...that war too, but they didnt know what they were talking about when they talked about the war). but anyways, it was a very large contributing factor...they even had some conservatives kids convinced he was stupid. they are horrible individuals. we could have a different president if those liars had their way.

Bush made it through on his own account.
I think they both got drunk. But Kerry the Nerd partying had to be different from Bush the Cowboy partying.

Just a quick reminder for those who are getting really upset over this thing Kerry "got away with". He didn't. He's not up for re-election in '08. He lost. So the way he portrayed his war record, the way he took his stance on abortion and upset Catholics, the way he spoke a bout the Iraq war, the way he acted like he was "smarter" than Bush all contributed to him losing. Kerry was a REALLY bad Democratic candidate. Had he won, like deek said, it'd be fine to be pissed about how Bush had lost to Kerry. But really, I do not think you need to care since Kerry is basically a nothing right now.

Chi your adding on to the story............The Boston Globe never said Kerry's went up
Kerry's grades did go up in his senior year. The average still came out to about the same as G.W.'s.

What is most important isn't which man is smarter, but the length to which the Democrats will go to lie and mislead the voters. Now I'm not saying that Republicans don't have some skeletons in their closet, but having once been with the Democrats, I can assure you this is nothing new.
It says something when the strength of a candidate (or issue) is not enough, that lies and misrepresentations have to be told. It doesn't make any difference what the issue or which party.
This is further proof that independent research has to be done by the serious voter. You simply can not rely on the media to give you the truth. Bloggers are making serious inroads into the availability of facts.

That's actually a very good point, Wadi.

First I'm sure you mean Truman not Turman. Second I'm suprised that Carter didn't make the list. Although he was
without a doubt the most atrocious president in modern times (he basically invented the BlameAmericaFirst policy) the guy does hold a degree in nuclear physics. A subject that would probably blow the heads off of most of us.

I read stuff that sounded to me like he let his life get out of control for at least 10 years. It should not be surprising that someone looked at it and deemed it to be moronic and with that in mind called him a moron.
You mean just like when I point my finger to all the Hollywood Elite that let their lives get out-of-control and call them morons?
