You're too kind TL. Now you can see why no one believes that I am Italian or Hispanic, but if you look in the corner you can see my little bro and there is no doubt that I am a little bit dago.

Thought I'd give this a try, since after all these years, I've finally figured out this picture posting thing.
I think I was about 12 or 13 years old here. Not sure where it was taken, but probably on some trip through the northern states, that the family took.
I wanted to ride the horse, but probably didn't want my picture taken. Thus, the squint. :icon_lol:
I like the background with the landscape, the barn, and the horses.

What was funny was that my sister started screaming and crying the moment they put her up on her horse, so they had to take her right back off and she missed out on the ride. That's okay .. she wasn't any fun, anyway. LOL. What a wimp (and yeah ... she grew up to be a lib.)
If you ever saw that horrible movie, Dirty Dancing, then you've seen my older sister's priss-pot charachter. It's her. I wasn't 'Baby' though.

I'll rehash a pic I posted in my album some months back. I am the very cute child with the gorgeous curls, standing. The other somewhat homely child in the chair is my sister Hope. Before someone acccuses me of being unkind in the description of my sister, we both expect such treatment from one another. Our love for one another is only exceeded by our individual self-confidence and our desire to mess with one another's head. :icon_wink

Love all the pictures. The old ones are so precious. I have very few - having been a middle kid, I was mostly a filler for either the older or the younger, in most pictures.
I had been looking for an old picture that I thought was funny , which I wanted to share with a friend. Although I hadn't found that one yet, I did see the horse one and that's why I posted it.
It is fun to look back. Clothing and surroudings are always interesting to me. Let's see some more oldies!
Madd ... that baby is most precious. I love her.

Found two of them at a Flea Market. I also bought at the same flea market, a pair of Phillipine Bolo knives from World War 2, at the latest. The sheaths were heavy leather, obviously hand tooled, and the belt strap was designed for someone who wore a string around their waist, not an actual belt. The blades were supposed to match, but were not matching, indicating hand working, and the handles were made of Curabao horn. Modern versions have nylon sheaths and sell for 75. Price for the two masks, 25 bucks. Same price for the two knives. Actual price. The two masks are actually 40 a piece, I looked. The blades are at least 75 dollars a piece.
yeah right...

Me and my older brother Billy in our sailor suits. Taken while our Mom was giving birth to our sister Patty. We stayed at our Aunt Florence's or cousin Dot's house in L.I. I was 2 years 11 months, Billy 7 years 2 months.

Great picture TL you have to be so proud of your Dad, a genuine hero.
No we weren’t a navy family. Mostly Army and Coast Guard. My brother Bill in this picture was Coast Guard and then a Bloomington volunteer fireman and Minneapolis fireman until he retired in 1999. He was killed in a tragic accident at an annual small gauge railroad demonstration where he was a brakeman. His 10 yr old grandson and 5 other kids and 3 adults were aboard when the caboose, started to tip as it went around a curve at a slow rate of speed. Bill jumped off the rear of the caboose and tried to keep it from tipping over but wasn't able to and was crushed to death. Nobody else was hurt. He died doing what his instincts told him to do, save others.

A heroic act, NP. God bless your brother.
Makes your picture all the more precious.
