Does anyone read them? I like the works of Frank Miller and Allan Moore. IF you do enjoy them or comics in general lets discuss it here.

ah, a man like myself. as far as my favs, im a huge batman fan. i see much of myself in that character. best graphic novels have to be joker, the killing joke, the man who laughs, long halloween, millers early batman work, the complete works of alan more, i love dark knight returns, first graphic novel i ever really loved. read it until the binding cracked. what about you?

I read the killing joke today. I like how it starts the same as it ends. I really like both Batmans, the dark knight returns and strikes again. Im really disappointed in how Superman is portrayed there. Hes a complete pussy, he needs to get his ass beat by Batman and the rest of the superheroes. Other ones I have read are Watchmen and V for Vendetta. I like these because the heroes in these books are alot like Miller's Batman. They are "good guys", but at the same time can make choices others cannot or will not. I really like V, Rorschach, and Batman as heroes.

the only reason supes is a sissy in those books is cause he cant help it he's a puppet of the govt but he redeems himself in the sequel , also the death of captain america storyline is great, i almost cried while it was going on

Superman doesnt redeem himself. His daughter saves his ass after he gives up. Ya when Captain America dies its pointless. The Jokers beef is with Batman not Superman. Why he went after Cpt America I dont understand.

whats the line at the end of killing joke? Something like making a moral judgment out of fear isnt much of a moral thing. Same concept. Superman should have done the right thing because it was the right thing. I like how Green Lantern puts it " How strange that it would be you. the mean one. the cruel one. the one with the darkest soul. How strange that you, of all of us, would prove to be the most hopefull."
