The current Commander In Chief has a real affinity for vacations. No doubt that being POTUS and working so diligently towards the "fundamental change" (read: Screw this place. I want to destroy it and start over) of America, takes it's toll on a guy.

So we are asked to cut B. Hussein a little slack on his vacation spree that he's been on. How many has it been now? I forget. But anyway, despite the fact that lil Barry skipped out on the Memorial Day ceremony at Arlington and instead opted for ice cream cones and fun on his home turf in ChicagoLand (although I do recognize that he did make an effort to put on display some sort of meaningful gesture towards those who paid the ultimate

You've got to be kidding me!

This would basically end the shooting sports as we know it. Remember this is a no-win situation for us, because bullets made of materials other than lead are often considered armor piercing by law. Copper is your basic material, and copper is expensive, and has much poorer performance properties than lead.

As NSSF has pointed out, there�s no real scientific basis for restricting lead ammunition. Just about all shooting ranges at this point are recycling their lead (it�s too valuable to just leave in the ground). California�s ban

Your state is bankrupt. You've had to cut many government services while increasing taxes to one of the highest rates in the country. You have budget deficits as far as the eye can see and an unemployment rate increasing, which means even less income in tax revenue. What do you do?

If you are a liberal, you appease the education unions and build the most expensive school in the nation. Over $500 million dollars. Hey, it's a pretty nice school though.

With all of our new members joining up, what a great time for me to do you all a favor and allow me to indulge myself in my own little personal crusade. While we suffer through our current infestation and occupation of the White House, it sure is nice to be reminded what it was like to have an American as President.

You can like George Bush or not, but he is a great man and a true American. He loves this country and what it was founded on and he loves our military. I miss the man. I truly do.

He and Laura took time to greet some troops at DFW airport today. He did it for one reason - he loves them. He didn't do it for publicity or a photo op. He didn't do it for a political agenda. He did it because it is the kind of man he is.

I realize that sometimes I can come across maybe a bit 'in your face'. I freely admit that I often feel like my opinions are fact and there is little room for disagreement. But I am also willing to accept when I am wrong and free to admit when I am not completely sure about a topic and realize my opinion may not be the right one.

With that I mind, I'd love to hear what people think about the recent ruling where the California judge overturned the voters on the gay marriage ban. Should he have done it? This is a bigger question than whether gay people have the right to marry. Should the judge have overturned the vote?

I know there is another thread on this, but I'd like to look at the story of at a much more important angle.

We can debate whether Shirley Sherrod is or was a racist. Clearly she was. Perhaps she overcame it. Perhaps she is the model of something we could all try to be - someone who saw the error of her ways and realize she was wrong. Perhaps she faced the fact she had to make fundamental changes in how she looked at people and judge them not on their race, but instead judge them on their needs. If that is truly the case and if that is what Shirley Sherrod did, then I think we can agree it would be hard to argue that this isn't a good thing. I don't know if that is the case. I simply don't have enough evidence to make that decision. I don't know
